  • Dolphins' Alec Ingold: Back to full health

Ingold practiced in full Wednesday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.

Ingold entered concussion protocol in early August, but he practiced in full and ditched his no-contact uniform Wednesday. He should be on track to begin the regular season in his typical role as a part-time player on offense as well as a special-teams contributor.

  • Dolphins' Alec Ingold: Enters concussion protocol

Ingold suffered a concussion during Sunday's training camp practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

It was a scary moment for Ingold, who appeared to be down and motionless on the practice field after taking a hit to the head during team drills, per Furones. The good news is that Ingold was able to walk off the field under his own power. He'll be limited in practice as he works through the league's five-step concussion protocol. He will have to clear protocol in order to be available for preseason games, starting with the Dolphins' opener against the Bears on Sunday, Aug. 10.

  • Dolphins' Alec Ingold: Plays 15 games in 2024

Ingold rushed 10 times for 17 yards and one touchdown across 15 regular-season games with the Dolphins in 2024. He also secured 11 of 12 targets for 96 receiving yards and fumbled twice, losing one.

Ingold handled his usual role as Miami's starting fullback, mostly contributing as a blocker but remaining capable when called upon as a runner or in the receiving game. He has two years remaining on his contract with the Dolphins.

  • Dolphins' Alec Ingold: No injury designation for Week 17

Ingold (ankle) practiced in full Friday and does not have an injury designation ahead of Sunday's clash against Cleveland.

Ingold appeared on Miami's injury report with an ankle issue Wednesday and was listed as a limited participant in the first two practices of the week. However, he was able to upgrade to a full session Friday and is good to go for Sunday. Ingold's main role in the Dolphins offense is as a blocker, though he also has 10 carries for 17 yards and a touchdown along with nine catches for 75 yards over 13 contests this season.

  • Dolphins' Alec Ingold: Limited to begin Week 17 prep

Ingold (ankle) was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report.

Ingold previously appeared on the Dolphins' Week 16 injury report with the same ankle issue. He opened last week with a pair of limited practices, then upgraded to full participation Friday and approached Sunday's game against the 49ers without a designation. In the Dolphins' 29-17 win over the 49ers, Ingold played 24 snaps on offense and finished with one carry for four yards. Assuming the fullback is able to practice fully by week's end, he should once again head into Sunday's matchup with the Browns without a designation.

  • Dolphins' Alec Ingold: Returning in Week 13

Ingold (calf) has no injury designation ahead of Thursday night's matchup against the Packers, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.

Ingold upgraded to full participation in Wednesday's walkthrough after opening Miami's week of practice with consecutive limited sessions, suggesting that he's moved past his calf injury in time for Thursday night's game. The 28-year-old has appeared in nine games this season, logging nine carries for 13 yards and catching seven of eight targets for 60 yards. He's expected to contribute on offense and special teams in Week 13.

  • Dolphins' Alec Ingold: Listed as limited Tuesday

Ingold (calf) was listed as a limited participant on Tuesday's practice report.

Ingold missed two straight games with the calf injury but was cleared to return to action for this past Sunday's win over the Patriots, when he logged nine snaps on offense and three on special teams. Though he's operating with limitations to begin Week 13 prep, Ingold still looks on track to be available for Thursday's game against the Packers.

  • Dolphins' Alec Ingold: Will play vs. New England

Ingold (calf) is active for Sunday's game against the Patriots, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Ingold has missed Miami's last two games after aggravating a calf injury Week 9 against the Bills. His return Sunday gives the Dolphins' run blocking a boost and will open space in the ground game for running backs De'Von Achane and Raheem Mostert.

  • Dolphins' Alec Ingold: Could return in Week 12

Ingold (calf) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Patriots, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.

The Wisconsin product has been sidelined for the Dolphins' last two games due to an aggravation of his calf injury, but he practiced in a limited capacity throughout the week, giving himself a chance to return for Sunday's divisional matchup. If Ingold is forced to miss his third consecutive game in Week 12, Julian Hill, Durham Smythe and Jack Stoll could see some snaps at fullback.

  • Dolphins' Alec Ingold: Limited Wednesday

Ingold (calf) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Ingold has missed each of the Dolphins' last two games after aggravating his calf injury in the team's Week 9 loss to the Bills. Wednesday's limited practice session could be an indication that he's nearing a return to the field. His participation Thursday and Friday will likely offer the best insight into whether he can suit up in Week 12, when the Dolphins host the Patriots.

  • Dolphins' Alec Ingold: Sidelined for Week 11

Ingold (calf) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Raiders.

Even though Ingold was able to practice in a limited capacity all week, his calf injury is severe enough that he will miss a second straight game. The Dolphins don't have any other fullback on the active roster, so tight ends Julian Hill, Durham Smythe and Jack Stoll may see an uptick in offensive snaps on run plays.

  • Dolphins' Alec Ingold: Questionable for Week 11

Ingold (calf) was limited in Friday's practice and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Las Vegas, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Ingold has been limited in practice all week due to a calf injury, which was serious enough for him to be sidelined during the Dolphins' Week 10 win over the Rams this past Monday. Whether Ingold plays Sunday might not be known until the Dolphins' inactive list is announced approximately 90 minutes before the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.
