Ravens' Jaire Alexander: Won't play against Detroit
Alexander (coach's decision) is inactive for Monday's game against the Lions.
Alexander did not feature on the Ravens' injury report this past week, which means the veteran corner will be a healthy scratch for a second consecutive game. T.J. Tampa and Keyon Martin will serve as the Ravens' backup corners behind Chidobe Awuzie and Nate Wiggins in Monday's interconference showdown. Alexander's next chance to play is Week 4 against the Chiefs on Sunday.

Ravens' Jaire Alexander: Healthy scratch Week 2
Alexander (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Browns.
Alexander was able to practice in full Thursday and Friday after being limited in Wednesday's session due to a lingering knee issue that caused him to miss time during training camp in August. He played just 33 of 85 defensive snaps during the Ravens' Week 1 loss to the Bills, so an extra week of rest could be what Alexander needs to be fully healthy, and his next chance to play is Week 3 against the Lions on Monday, Sept. 22. Chidobe Awuzie will likely step in as the Ravens' second starting outside corner opposite Nate Wiggins in Alexander's absence.

Ravens' Jaire Alexander: Practices fully Thursday
Alexander (knee) was a full participant in Thursday's practice.
Alexander was limited Wednesday due to a lingering knee injury but practiced without limitations Thursday. The veteran cornerback's injury will likely continue to cut into his practice reps at times, but it doesn't seem to be threatening his availability for games. Alexander will likely continue to play a rotational cornerback role in Week 2 against the Browns.

Ravens' Jaire Alexander: Limited to open week
Alexander (knee) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
Despite a lingering knee issue, Alexander was able to suit up for the Ravens' Week 1 loss against the Bills this past Sunday, when he finished with three tackles (two solo) while playing 33 of 85 defensive snaps. He'll likely remain limited in practices to manage the injury, and there's no indication that he will miss the Ravens' Week 2 AFC North clash against the Browns on Sunday, barring a setback. Even so, Alexander could be deployed on a part-time basis early in the season, which means Chidobe Awuzie -- who played 67 defensive snaps Week 1 -- should continue to see additional work at outside corner opposite Nate Wiggins.

Ravens' Jaire Alexander: Upgrades to full participation
Alexander (knee) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Jonas Shaffer of the Baltimore Banner reports.
Alexander was sidelined by a knee injury from Aug. 9 until Wednesday, when he practiced in a limited capacity. It's a great sign for the veteran cornerback that he managed to shed those limitations the next day. Alexander's poised to make his Ravens debut in primetime against the Bills on SNF.

Ravens' Jaire Alexander: Officially limited Wednesday
Alexander (knee) was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
Alexander missed close to a month of practice and the entirety of the preseason this summer, but his return to the field Wednesday would seem to give him a shot to suit up Sunday night versus Buffalo.

Ravens' Jaire Alexander: Back at practice
Alexander (knee) returned to practice Wednesday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
The official injury report has yet to come out, but Hensley stated Alexander will likely be listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's session. This is the first time the veteran corner has practiced since Aug. 9, which is a good sign for his potential availability in Baltimore's Week 1 contest against the Bills. However, if Alexander is still unable to go Sunday, T.J. Tampa will likely step in and start opposite Nate Wiggins.

Ravens' Jaire Alexander: Not yet practicing
Alexander (knee) isn't practicing Monday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Alexander has been held out of practice since Aug. 9 due to a knee issue. Head coach John Harbaugh said last week that the veteran cornerback is "pushing" to be ready for Week 1, but that's far from a certainty. If Alexander is unable to suit up Sunday against the Bills, T.J. Tampa, Chidobe Awuzie or Marlon Humphrey could draw a start in his stead.
