Falcons' Ronnie Harrison: Gets opportunity with Atlanta
The Falcons signed Harrison to a contract Saturday, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports.
Harrison spent the last two years with the Colts while mostly serving in a special teams role, and he finished the 2024 regular season with two solo tackles and a forced fumble across 10 games. A special teams role would be Harrison's clearest path to making the Falcons' 53-man roster at the end of training camp.

Colts' Ronnie Harrison: Gets promotion
Harrison was signed to the Colts' 53-man roster from their practice squad Monday.
Harrison's move to the active roster comes as Indianapolis placed fellow safety Trevor Denbow (knee) on IR. The veteran will likely fill a depth role behind starters Julian Blackmon and Nick Cross but mostly contribute on special teams.

Ronnie Harrison: Cut by Indianapolis
The Colts released Harrison on Sunday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
After appearing in seven regular-season games for the Colts in 2023, Harrison re-signed with Indianapolis in March on a one-year deal. He was competing for a spot in the Colts' secondary, and across three preseason contests he registered eight tackles (five solo). The 2018 third-round pick will now look to join a team in need of secondary depth should he clear waivers.

Colts' Ronnie Harrison: Seeing snaps at safety
Harrison has played almost exclusively as a safety during Colts' mandatory minicamp, Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star reports.
Harrison spent most of his time at linebacker last season (135 of his 234 defensive snaps came in the box), but he now appears to be transitioning back to safety for the 2024 season. Harrison tallied 20 total tackles, two interceptions and one sack in seven regular-season games in 2023.

Colts' Ronnie Harrison: Re-ups with Colts for one year
Harrison re-signed with the Colts on a one-year contract Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Harrison appeared in seven games for Indianapolis in 2023, notching 20 tackles (11 solo) and two interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown. He could be in line to compete for a starting role in 2024 if the Colts don't bring in another safety via free agency or the 2024 NFL Draft.

Colts' Ronnie Harrison: Versatile contributor in 2023
Harrison tallied 20 tackles (11 solo), 1.0 sacks, two passes defensed, two interceptions and one touchdown across seven regular-season games in 2023.
Harrison spent the first 11 weeks of the 2023 season on Indianapolis' practice squad, and shortly after being called up to the active roster he was asked to switch positions to middle linebacker following the release of Shaquille Leonard. Harrison is now set to hit free agency this offseason, and his ability to contribute at both safety and linebacker could help his odds of inking a new contract quickly.

Colts' Ronnie Harrison: Nabs interception in win
Harrison had an interception in Sunday's win over Tampa Bay but did not record a tackle.
He played on seven of the defense's 60 snaps in a linebacker role after previously working as a safety. He could help replace Shaquille Leonard, who was released, at linebacker, but he won't be used much in nickel and dime packages.

Colts' Ronnie Harrison: Finds new home
Harrison is signing a one-year contract with the Colts on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Harrison spent the last three seasons of his career in Cleveland, ultimately seeing his role lessen in 2022, with just 246 defensive snaps in 16 contests, versus 559 in 2021, while only playing 12 games. He'll work to provide depth at strong safety for Indianapolis, as Julian Blackmon (hamstring) and Rodney Thomas (toe) continue to remain sidelined by their injuries.

Browns' Ronnie Harrison: Practices in full Wednesday
Harrison (hamstring) was a full participant at practice Wednesday, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
Harrison sat out Week 3 versus Pittsburgh after injuring his hamstring during pregame warmups, but with the benefit of an extended week, it appears he should be ready to play again Sunday at Atlanta. He should remain in a limited role, however, as long as Grant Delpit and John Johnson are still healthy.
