Xavier Crawford: Tries out for San Fran
Crawford (hamstring) was brought in for a tryout with the 49ers on Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Crawford played on special teams during the first few weeks of last season with the Seahawks, totaling three tackles over six appearances. The 27-year-old will hope to catch on in San Francisco after also logging time with the Texans, Dolphins, Bears and Jaguars following his selection by Houston in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Crawford will miss his second straight game while he remains in the NFL's five-step concussion protocol after first suffering the head injury in the Bears' Week 14 loss to Green Bay. The 26-year-old cornerback has been a minor contributor for the Chicago secondary this season, logging 15 tackles over 13 games.

Dolphins' Xavier Crawford: Gets claimed Monday
The Dolphins claimed Crawford off waivers Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Per Rapoport, the transaction won't go through until Tuesday since the Dolphins play Monday night, which rules out Crawford for the game. The rookie out of Central Michigan appeared in just four games for the Texans, playing 37 snaps, before he was cut Sunday. He'll likely serve as a depth secondary option for the Dolphins once the transaction is official.
