Christian Wilkins: Leaving Las Vegas
The Raiders released Wilkins (foot) on Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
It's shocking news, as the Raiders signed Wilkins to a five-year, $110 million dollar deal last March. Per Schefter, Las Vegas is releasing the defensive lineman with the designation of terminated vested veteran, and the organization voided the remaining $35.2 million of the guaranteed money left on his deal last month. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network adds that the Raiders and Wilkins have had an "ongoing dispute" over his foot injury, as Wilkins declined having a second surgery despite the team's request for him to go under the knife again to address the issue. Schefter reports that Wilkins filed a grievance with the NFLPA on Thursday, so it appears that the player and the organization are headed for a dispute over guaranteed money. Regardless of how that turns out, Wilkins' tenure with Las Vegas will end with him having played in just five games and tallying 17 tackles, including 2.0 sacks.

Raiders' Christian Wilkins: Placed on PUP list by Raiders
Wilkins (foot) was placed on the active/PUP list by the Raiders on Friday, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.
As training camp approaches, the defensive tackle continues to bounce back from a Jones fracture that he suffered in his left foot last October, which required surgery and ended his 2024 campaign. Wilkins can be removed from the PUP list at any time between now and the start of the regular season, but for now, a timeline for his return to practice remains unclear.

Raiders' Christian Wilkins: Sidelined at minicamp
Wilkins (foot) was inactive for the start of the Raiders' mandatory minicamp Tuesday, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports.
Wilkins is still dealing with a foot injury that he sustained against the Broncos in Week 5 last year, sidelining him for the rest of the campaign. The defensive tackle was without a return timeline during OTAs in May, and his availability for training camp in late July remains uncertain.
