Foxx was waived by the Jets on Monday.

Foxx, who was re-signed to the Jets in May after getting waived weeks earlier, was competing for a depth role at receiver. While he's now free to sign elsewhere, the fact he twice failed to stick on a depth chart barren of proven talent doesn't bode well for future success.

Foxx was waived by the Jets on Tuesday.

Foxx was released with an injury designation by the Seahawks in August. He then signed with the Jets following the conclusion of the 2017 regular season. However, the team has opted to waive him in favor of receiver KD Cannon. The UConn product will look for an opportunity with a different team to make his NFL debut in the upcoming season.

  • Deshon Foxx: Waived/injured Monday

Foxx (hamstring) was waived/injured by the Seahawks on Monday, The Seattle Times reports

His release leaves 11 receivers left standing on the Seahawks' roster, with only Doug Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse, Tyler Lockett and Paul Richardson firmly cemented atop the depth chart. Should Foxx clear waivers, he's a candidate to be placed on injured reserve.
