A.J. Tarpley: Leaving football
Tarpley has decided to retire from the NFL after just one season, citing concussion concerns, The Buffalo News reports.
Tarpley made his mark last season by making the Bills as an undrafted free agent, then seeing increased action down the stretch. This type of life decision is starting to become more common across the NFL, as seen on a few occasions this offseason.

Bills' A.J. Tarpley: Gets promoted
Tarpley, an undrafted rookie out of Stanford, was elevated from the practice squad Thursday, BuffaloBills.com reports.
With Tony Steward moved to IR, starter Nigel Bradham battling an ankle injury, and Ty Powell already lost for the season, either Tarpley or Kevin Roddick could be heavily relied upon this week against the Eagles should Bradham not make it back from his high-ankle sprain.
