Cowboys' Donovan Wilson: Will play Sunday
Wilson (elbow) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Panthers, Clarence Hill Jr. of AllDLLS.com reports.
Wilson opened the week with a DNP due to an elbow injury he likely picked up during the Cowboys' Week 5 win over the Jets. He ended the week with an LP-FP practice log and has been cleared to play in Sunday's road game. Wilson has 29 tackles (15 solo) and two pass defenses (including one interception) through the first five games of the regular season.

Wilson (elbow) was a limited participant at practice Thursday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.

Cowboys' Donovan Wilson: Managing elbow injury
Wilson did not practice Wednesday due to an elbow injury, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Wilson was on the field for 77 of 82 defensive snaps (93.9 percent) during the Cowboys' Week 5 win over the Jets, finishing with eight tackles (three solo). The 2019 sixth-rounder appears to have sustained an elbow injury in the process, and he'll have to practice in at least a limited capacity over the next two days in order to have a chance at playing against the Panthers on Sunday. Juanyeh Thomas is working through an ankle injury, so Alijah Clark and Markquese Bell could see increased snaps at safety if Wilson or Thomas are unable to play against Carolina.

Cowboys' Donovan Wilson: Leading tackler in loss
Wilson recorded seven tackles (four solo) and a pass defended in Sunday's loss to the Bears.
The veteran safety tied linebacker Jack Sanborn for the team lead in tackles in a blowout loss. The Cowboys' secondary has been one of the worst units in the league so far this season, but that hasn't impacted Wilson's IDP value -- over the last two games he's compiled 13 tackles and two passes defended, including one interception.

Cowboys' Donovan Wilson: Nabs pick vs. Giants
Wilson recorded six total tackles (three solo) and one interception in Sunday's 40-37 overtime win over the Giants.
The veteran safety delivered a crucial pick in the Cowboys' divisional win Sunday, intercepting a pass intended for Malik Nabers down the left sideline to set up the game-winning field goal in overtime. Wilson rebounded well from an underwhelming Week 1 performance, in which he tallied just one total tackle. He's played 100 percent of Dallas' defensive snaps in consecutive games and will continue to serve as one of the team's defensive leaders in a Week 3 matchup against the Bears.

Wilson recorded six tackles and an interception in Sunday's 40-37 overtime win over the Giants.
After managing only one tackle in the Cowboys' opener, Wilson made a much bigger impact in Week 2, with his INT on a deep Russell Wilson pass in OT setting up Brandon Aubrey's game-winning field goal. Wilson the safety racked up at least 80 tackles in three straight seasons coming into 2025, and he'll be a key part of the secondary once again.

Cowboys' Donovan Wilson: Minimal production against Eagles
Wilson recorded one tackle in Thursday's 24-20 loss to the Eagles.
It was an uninspiring line for Wilson, but he was on the field for 100 percent of Dallas' defensive snaps, so his role doesn't appear to be in danger. After topping 80 stops in each of the last two seasons, he should be in line to be more involved in future contests.
