Dissly (knee) isn't listed on the Chargers' Week 6 injury report.
Dissly is thus set to return for Sunday's game at Miami after missing each of the past three contests. Rookie tight end Oronde Gadsden took advantage initially, but he saw just one target in the Week 5 loss to Washington despite handling a season-high 61 percent route share. That number likely will drop with Dissly back in the lineup, although it's also possible Dissly mostly takes the snaps that went to Tyler Conklin and Tucker Fisk in recent weeks. Either way, it'll be some form of rotation, with long odds for any one TE to draw more than a handful of targets.

Dissly -- who worked fully Friday -- will carry a designation into the weekend after he was a limited participant in practices Wednesday and Thursday, while managing the knee issue. Dissly hasn't been able to practice since the start of Week 3 prep due to a knee injury and now will miss a second consecutive contest as a result. After missing Week 3, Dissly appears to be trending toward another missed contest this Sunday against the Giants. With Dissly out last week, the Chargers used Tucker Fisk in a blocking role at tight end, and rookie Oronde Gadsden and Tyler Conklin shared pass-catching duties in a three-man weave at the position. Gadsden popped up for a 5-46-0 receiving line on seven targets but played just over 25 percent of the snaps.

For a second consecutive week, Dissly played fewer snaps (23) than Tyler Conklin (29), but neither tight end was asked to do much more than block with the game relatively in hand throughout. So long as the wideout trio of Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston and Keenan Allen remain healthy, the Chargers' other pass-catchers won't see much target volume.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Outproduced by Conklin
Dissly secured his only target for 18 yards during Los Angeles' 27-21 win over the Chiefs on Friday.
Dissly played more offensive snaps (37) than Conklin (28), but the former was outproduced in the receiving game. Dissly's lone target, which he turned into an 18-yard reception, came in the fourth quarter, while Conklin managed 50 yards on two targets, both of which he secured. Dissly and Conklin will again split reps at tight end in Week 2 on the road against Las Vegas on Monday night, but the Chargers' passing attack appears intent on funneling through starting wideouts Ladd McConkey, Keenan Allen and Quentin Johnston.
