Chargers' Will Dissly: Upgrades to full participation
Dissly (shoulder) was a full participant in Thursday's practice.
Dissly was a limited participant in Wednesday's session with a shoulder injury he likely sustained in the overtime win over the Eagles on Monday night. The tight end's upgrade to full participation and the corresponding clearing of an injury designation mean he should be all set to suit up for Sunday's game against the Chiefs. Dissly's projected availability will once again dampen Tyler Conklin's chances to garner active status after the No. 3 tight end was a healthy scratch in Dissly's return Monday night.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Working through shoulder issue
Dissly (shoulder) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
Dissly likely picked up the injury during Monday's 22-19 overtime win over the Eagles, when he played 40 snaps (27 on offense, 13 on special teams) and caught a one-yard pass on his only target from Justin Herbert (left hand). Dissly will have two more chances to increase his practice participation ahead of Sunday's AFC West tilt against the Chiefs.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Records short reception in return
Dissly notched a one-yard reception on his lone target while playing 27 of the Chargers' 74 snaps on offense in Monday's 22-19 overtime win over the Eagles.
Dissly didn't suit up in any of the Chargers' previous five games -- once due to an illness, the other four times in coach's decisions -- but he returned to the mix Monday and served as the top backup option to starting tight end Oronde Gadsden. Los Angeles opened up the small role for Dissly by placing Tucker Fisk (ankle) on injured reserve and by making Tyler Conklin a healthy inactive for the Week 14 contest.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Healthy scratch Week 10
Dissly (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Steelers.
Dissly will be sidelined for a third consecutive game, with two of his absences as a result of a healthy scratch. The Chargers will go with three active tight ends for Sunday night's game in Oronde Gadsden, Tucker Fisk and Tyler Conklin.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Avoids injury report
Dissly (illness) was not listed on Wednesday's injury report, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
Dissly was a healthy scratch for Week 8 and then sat out Week 9 due to an illness, but he's now fully recovered. There's no guarantee that Dissly will be active for Sunday's game against the Steelers, however, even at full health. Tucker Fisk and Tyler Conklin have operated as Los Angeles' top reserve tight ends following the emergence of Oronde Gadsden.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Won't play against Tennessee
Dissly (illness) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Titans, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
Dissly ended Week 9 prep with back-to-back limited practices while working through an illness. He has not been cleared to play Sunday, so the Chargers will have three tight ends on the active roster in Oronde Gadsden, Tucker Fisk and Tyler Conklin. Dissly's next opportunity to play is Week 10 against the Steelers on Sunday, Nov. 9.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Questionable for Week 9
Dissly (illness) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Titans.
With Oronde Gadsden taking over tight-end duties for the Chargers in recent weeks, Dissly has fallen out of favor in Los Angeles, as he was a healthy inactive in Week 8 against the Vikings.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Returns to practice Thursday
Dissly (illness) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
The veteran tight end was cleared to return to practice in a limited capacity after missing Wednesday's session due to an illness. Dissly is trending toward being available for Sunday's game against the Titans, though he was a healthy scratch for Week 8 as the Chargers went with three active tight ends in Oronde Gadsden, Tucker Fisk and Tyler Conklin.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Under the weather
Dissly did not practice Wednesday due to an illness.
Dissly will have two more opportunities to recover enough to return to practice ahead of Sunday's game against the Titans. He was a healthy scratch for Week 8 against the Vikings, so there's no guarantee that he would be active for Week 9 even if he recovered enough to avoid an injury designation. Dissly appears to have been phased out of the Chargers' offensive gameplan due to the emergence of rookie fifth-rounder Oronde Gadsden, while Tucker Fisk and Tyler Conklin provide depth at tight end.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Healthy scratch Week 8
Dissly (coach's decision) is inactive for Thursday's game against the Vikings.
Dissly played just three offensive snaps during the Chargers' Week 7 loss to the Vikings. His role in the offense has waned with the emergence of rookie fifth-rounder Oronde Gadsden, and Dissly will observe Thursday's game in street clothes. With Dissly inactive, the Chargers will roll with three tight ends on the active roster in Gadsden, Tucker Fisk and Tyler Conklin for Week 8.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Held catchless against Colts
Dissly failed to secure his lone target in Sunday's 38-24 loss to the Colts.
Dissly was unable to make an impact in Sunday's high-scoring affair against the Colts, as the veteran tight end played just three of the Chargers' 76 offensive snaps. The 29-year-old has taken a clear backseat to fellow tight end Oronde Gadsden, who finished the game with seven catches for a team-leading 164 yards and a touchdown. Dissly should be ignored for fantasy purposes based on his limited usage in the Chargers' passing attack. Next up for Los Angeles is a Week 8 matchup against the Vikings.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Two catches in return
Dissly finished Sunday's 29-27 win over the Dolphins with two catches on as many targets for 18 yards.
Dissly was cleared to return Sunday from a three-game absence due to a knee injury. He ended up playing 26 snaps on offense, which was behind 2025 fifth-rounder Oronde Gadsden (48) and Tucker Fisk (27), but ahead of veteran Tyler Conklin (three). Given the disparity in snap count between Dissly and Gadsden, it appears that the rookie has taken over as the Chargers' No. 1 option at tight end. Up next for the Chargers is a Week 7 home clash against a Colts team whose defense yielded eight catches for 72 yards and a touchdown to tight end Trey McBride in a Week 6 win over the Cardinals.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Cleared from injury report
Dissly (knee) isn't listed on the Chargers' Week 6 injury report.
Dissly is thus set to return for Sunday's game at Miami after missing each of the past three contests. Rookie tight end Oronde Gadsden took advantage initially, but he saw just one target in the Week 5 loss to Washington despite handling a season-high 61 percent route share. That number likely will drop with Dissly back in the lineup, although it's also possible Dissly mostly takes the snaps that went to Tyler Conklin and Tucker Fisk in recent weeks. Either way, it'll be some form of rotation, with long odds for any one TE to draw more than a handful of targets.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Remains sidelined Sunday
Dissly (knee) is inactive for Sunday's Week 5 matchup against the Commanders.
Dissly went into the weekend with a questionable tag after partaking in every practice of Week 5 prep, including as a full participant Friday. Nevertheless, the veteran will miss a third consecutive game, leaving rookie Oronde Gadsden and veteran Tyler Conklin as Justin Herbert's two top options at tight end versus Washington.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Draws questionable tag for Week 5
Dissly (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Commanders, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
Dissly -- who worked fully Friday -- will carry a designation into the weekend after he was a limited participant in practices Wednesday and Thursday, while managing the knee issue. Before missing the Chargers' last two games, Dissly had served as the team's top tight end through the first two weeks of the season, but he drew just two targets between those contests.

Chargers' Will Dissly: Returns to limited practice
Dissly (knee) was limited at practice Wednesday.
Dissly, who has missed the Chargers' last two games and had sat out all six of the team's practices since the start of Week 3 prep, is thus moving in the right direction ahead of Sunday's game against the Commanders. The tight end will presumably need to practice fully by Friday, however, in order to avoid a Week 5 injury designation.
