Bears' T.J. Edwards: Participating in practice
Edwards (lower body) is participating in Chicago's training camp, Alyssa Barbieri of USA Today reports.
Edwards is healthy again after having been dealing with a soft-tissue injury in his lower body earlier in the offseason. He is expected to serve as one of the team's starting linebackers once again during the upcoming campaign after landing a two-year extension in April.

Bears' T.J. Edwards: Sidelined with injury
Edwards (lower body) is currently dealing with a soft tissue injury, Scott Bair of Marquee Sports Network reports.
Edwards just signed an extension with the team last month after racking up 129 tackles (79 solo), with 4.0 sacks, and an interception in 17 games during the 2024 campaign but is now dealing with an injury. He has yet to miss a game since signing with the Bears in 2023 and will once again serve as the team's starting middle linebacker should he be healthy for their Week 1 matchup versus the Vikings in September.

Bears' T.J. Edwards: Lands two-year, $20M extension
The Bears signed Edwards to a two-year, $20 million contract extension Wednesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Edwards was headed into the final year of his three-year, $19.5 million deal but is now locked up through the 2027 campaign. Edwards has started all 17 regular-season games each of the last three seasons and has posted four consecutive 100-tackle campaigns. In 2024, Edwards recorded 129 tackles (79 solo), including a career-best 4.0 sacks, three pass breakups, including one interception, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. He played 99 percent of the Bears' defensive snaps and should again function as an every-down linebacker for new defensive coordinator Dennis Allen.

Bears' T.J. Edwards: Finishes down year
Edwards tallied four tackles (two solo), including 1.0 sacks, in the Bears' 24-22 win over the Packers on Sunday.
Edwards came into this season averaging 157 tackles, but he fell to 129 across 17 regular-season games. Although the linebacker had a strong tackle total, it wasn't the elite IDP production fantasy managers had been accustomed to. Conversely, Edwards set a career high with 4.0 sacks, besting his previous high of 2.5 sacks. Edwards is heading into the last year of his deal with the Bears.

Bears' T.J. Edwards: Another strong outing
Edwards collected eight tackles in the Bears' 34-17 loss to the Lions on Sunday.
Edwards has tallied at least eight stops in four of Chicago's last five games, and he remains a solid IDP with a consistent scoring floor with occasional upside.

Bears' T.J. Edwards: Strong performance in defeat
Edwards tallied eight tackles and 1.0 sacks in the Bears' 30-12 loss to the Vikings on Monday.
Edwards has increased his production since Week 10. During those six games, the linebacker has posted at least eight tackles four times while recording sacks in each of the last two games. Edwards remains a great IDP floor play, but the added upside is a great boost during the fantasy playoffs.
