  • Raiders' Terrell Edmunds: Signs with Las Vegas

Edmunds and the Raiders agreed on a contract Sunday.

Edmunds will head to Las Vegas after spending the entirety of the offseason as a free agent to this point. The safety appeared in six contests with the Jaguars and the Steelers in 2024, recording seven total tackles (five solo), while playing 67 defensive snaps and 82 snaps with the special-teams unit. Edmunds figures to compete with Chris Smith and Hudson Clark for a backup role at free safety behind Isaiah Pola-Mao in 2025 with Las Vegas.

  • Terrell Edmunds: Lands with Chargers

Edmunds signed with the Chargers' practice squad Thursday.

He takes the practice-squad roster spot of fellow safety Emany Johnson, who was cut in a corresponding move Thursday. Edmunds is a decent bet to be elevated ahead of Sunday's game against the Raiders due to all three of Alohi Gilman (hamstring), Elijah Molden (shin) and Marcus Maye (ankle) all battling injuries.

  • Terrell Edmunds: Working out with Bears

Chicago worked out Edmunds (illness) on Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Edmunds was cut by Pittsburgh ahead of Week 10 as he was dealing with an illness, but it seems he's back in shape for football activities after Week 11. Regular starting safety Jaquan Brisker (concussion) was recently placed on injured reserve, so it makes sense that the Bears are exploring depth options at that position.

  • Terrell Edmunds: Let go by Pittsburgh

The Steelers cut Edmunds (illness) on Saturday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.

Edmunds has been dealing with an illness and had already been deemed out for Sunday's matchup against the Commanders prior to being set loose. Since this move comes after the trade deadline, Edmunds will be subject to waivers. In five games with Pittsburgh this season, the safety tallied seven tackles (five) solo while playing 61 snaps on defense and 82 on special teams.

  • Steelers' Terrell Edmunds: Won't play against Washington

Edmunds (illness) did not practice Friday and has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Commanders, Mike DeFabo of The Athletic reports.

Edmunds has not been able to practice all week due to an illness, and he will be sidelined for Sunday's game. His next chance at suiting up will be Week 11 against the Ravens on Sunday, Nov. 17. Cameron Sutton was reinstated from his eight-game suspension in late October, and he could see more work in dime packages while Edmunds is sidelined.

  • Steelers' Terrell Edmunds: Finds work in Pittsburgh

The Steelers signed Edmunds off the Jaguars' practice squad Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Edmunds failed to make Jacksonville's initial 53-man roster in late August but has since found a home in Pittsburgh, where he spent the first five years of his career. The Virginia Tech product appeared in the Jaguars' Week 1 game, recording no stats while playing just six defensive snaps. He's expected to serve as a depth piece in Pittsburgh's secondary as the season progresses.

  • Jaguars' Terrell Edmunds: Gets opportunity in Jacksonville

The Jaguars signed Edmunds to a contract Thursday.

Edmunds began the 2023 campaign as a starter for Philadelphia before being dealt to the Titans in Week 7, where his opportunities grew more inconsistent. Across nine games with the Titans he handled over 50 percent of defensive snaps on just one occasion, but contributed heavily on special teams. Now, Edmunds likely profiles to head into the 2024 season as a depth player for Jacksonville.

  • Titans' Terrell Edmunds: Role slips in 2023

Edmunds recorded 48 tackles, including 2.5 sacks, two passes defensed (one interception) and one forced fumble across 16 regular-season games with the Eagles and Titans in 2023.

Edmunds began the season in a starting role with the Eagles, but he had an inconsistent role prior to being dealt to Tennessee following Week 7. The same inconsistent opportunity followed him in Tennessee, and the result was that Edmunds tallied career lows in defensive snaps (451) and total tackles. He did contribute plenty on special teams, which should help him find a new contract around the league, but he's likely to be penciled into a depth role to begin the 2024 campaign.

  • Titans' Terrell Edmunds: In line to start Week 16

Edmunds is expected to start for the injured Amani Hooker (knee) at strong safety ahead of Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Paul Kuharsky of PaulKuharsky.com reports.

Hooker seems to have suffered a knee injury over the past week, giving Edmunds the opportunity to make his second start for the Titans. Over the course of the year, the 26-year-old safety has split time between Philadelphia and Tennessee, recording 41 total tackles, including two tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks. Edmunds will likely start alongside Elijah Molden in Week 16, per Kuharsky.
