Eagles' Josh Andrews: Moves past injury
Andrews started Thursday's preseason loss to the Colts, indicating that he is past the ankle injury he suffered in the Eagles' second exhibition contest versus Cleveland.
This is good news for Andrews, who has a legitimate shot of making Philadelphia's initial 53-man roster. The veteran can play both guard and center, giving him extra value as depth on the offensive line if he indeed makes the club.

Eagles' Josh Andrews: Ruled out with ankle injury
Andrews injured his ankle in Thursday's preseason game against Cleveland and won't return, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Andrews is competing for a spot on the Eagles' 53-man roster, so it could be a blow to his chances if he's forced to miss additional time. The veteran is able to play both center and guard, which may give him an edge for a roster spot if he is healthy.

Falcons' Josh Andrews: Returns to active roster
Andrews was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Andrews was placed on the COVID-19 list Nov. 16 and has missed the Falcons' last two games. He'll look to return Sunday against the Patriots, likely in a reserve role.

Andrews had been battling Jalen Mayfield for the starting left guard spot before breaking his hand. The 30-year-old Andrews has a three-week window to be added to the active roster. If he isn't, then he will spend the remainder of the season on IR. It's unclear if the rookie Mayfield has done enough to hold onto this starting spot when Andrews is healthy.

Rothstein reports that Andrews appeared to be pulling away from rookie Jalen Mayfield to win the starting left guard spot before breaking his hand. He will be forced to miss at least the first three weeks of the season after landing on IR.

Andrews' season is over after he suffered a groin injury during this past Sunday's win over the Browns. The 29-year-old lineman made four starts in 2020 with Alex Lewis (undisclosed) out of the lineup. Lewis may return to the starting left guard position in Week 17.
