The Cardinals signed O'Donnell to their active roster Friday.
The 34-year-old's signing Friday likely suggests that Blake Gillikin (back), who popped up on Arizona's injury report Thursday as a limited practice participant, could miss the Week 6 matchup against the Colts. O'Donnell, a 10-year NFL veteran, is now expected to assume Arizona's top punter and holder duties if Gillikin is sidelined Sunday.

O'Donnell was cut by the Packers on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
After eight seasons in Chicago, O'Donnell headed north to Green Bay in 2022. He netted 38.5 yards per punt and placed 24 kicks inside the 20-yard line during his one Packers campaign. The veteran was competing against Daniel Whelan for punting duties this year and ultimately came up short. He will now look for a fresh start elsewhere.

O'Donnell has been the only punter in Green Bay since signing with the team back in March, so he was not facing any pressure Thursday night. The Packers will be counting on him to help improve a special-teams unit that had all kinds of issues a year ago.
