Eagles' Charles Harris: Claimed by Philly
The Eagles claimed Harris off waivers from the Panthers on Tuesday.
Harris was cut by Carolina on Monday. The Eagles lost Brandon Graham to a season-ending torn triceps in Sunday night's win over the Rams, so Harris makes sense as a depth piece. Prior to his ouster, Harris recorded 21 total tackles, including 3.0 sacks, for Carolina.

Charles Harris: Out in Carolina
The Panthers waived Harris on Monday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
The 29-year-old was picked up by the Panthers ahead of a Week 2 loss to the Chargers to ensure pass-rushing depth with D.J. Wonnum sidelined to begin the year. Harris recorded 21 total tackles, including a team-leading 3.0 sacks, in nine games before being waived Monday. The Missouri product could be a sought-after name on the free-agent market for teams in need of edge rushers.

Panthers' Charles Harris: Healthy inactive for Week 10
Harris (coach's decision) is a healthy inactive for Sunday's game against the Giants in Munich, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Harris leads the Panthers with 3.0 sacks over his eight appearances on the season, but Carolina doesn't look as though it'll have meaningful playing time available for the edge rusher due to outside linebacker D.J. Wonnum (quadricep) having been cleared to return from injured reserve. Expect Wonnum to start opposite Jadeveon Clowney in Germany.

Panthers' Charles Harris: Fills stat sheet vs. Saints
Harris recorded six total tackles (five solo), including 1.0 sacks and an additional tackle for loss, in Sunday's 23-22 win over the Saints.
Harris was the only Panther to bring down Derek Carr in Sunday's win, and he now leads Carolina's defense with 3.0 sacks on the season. The veteran edge rusher has also tallied 20 total tackles through the Panthers' first nine games and is expected to continue starting opposite Jadeveon Clowney as the Carolina faces the Giants in Germany on Sunday.

Panthers' Charles Harris: Logs sack vs. Bears
Harris recorded three total tackles (all solo), including 1.0 sacks, in Sunday's 36-10 loss to the Bears.
Harris was the only Panther to record a sack in the Carolina's Week 5 loss, bringing down Caleb Williams for an eight-yard loss in the first quarter. The 2017 first-round pick has appeared in four games since signing with Carolina after Week 1, recording eight total tackles, including 1.0 sacks, across 167 defensive snaps. Expect Harris to continue serving as one of the Panthers' top edge rushers as the Falcons travel to Carolina in Week 6.

Panthers' Charles Harris: Finds opportunity in Carolina
The Panthers are slated to sign Harris to a contract Tuesday, David Newton of ESPN reports.
Harris inks with Carolina in the wake of star defensive lineman Derrick Brown (knee) suffering a potentially season-ending meniscus injury. The 29-year-old Harris figures to contribute at outside linebacker for the Panthers, so he doesn't directly fill the void left by Brown, but he'll work to bolster the team's defensive front against the Chargers on Sunday. Injuries have limited Harris to 19 regular-season appearances over the last two years.

Lions' Charles Harris: Healthy scratch for Week 7
Harris (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's matchup against the Ravens.
Harris' playing time has dropped in back-to-back weeks after he played at least 60 percent of the Lions' defensive snaps in each of the first four games of 2023. John Cominsky appears to have supplanted Harris as a starting defensive end, while Romeo Okwara and Julian Okwara will maintain rotational roles.

Lions' Charles Harris: Back in action
Harris (groin) has been participation in the Lions' OTAs, Colton Pouncy of The Athletic reports.
Harris made his return to the field after having dealt with a groin injury since October. The 2017 first-round pick logged 14 tackles (10 solo) and a sack in six games during the 2022 campaign and should have an ample opportunity to compete for playing time heading into the coming season.

Lions' Charles Harris: Restructures contract
Harris (groin) has accepted a reduced salary to remain with the Lions in 2023, Justin Rogers of The Detroit News reports.
Harris was rewarded with a two-year, $14 million deal after his 7.5 sacks in 2021 made him seem like a good fit in Detroit. However, things went downhill in 2022 and the 2017 first-round pick will now have his base salary chopped by $3 million in 2023, which saves the Lions an equivalent amount in cap space.
