Bears' Andrew Billings: Records sack vs. Buffalo
Billings (pectoral) logged two tackles (one solo), including 1.0 sacks, during the Bears' 38-0 preseason win over the Bills on Sunday.
Billings was cleared to play Sunday after fully recovering from surgery in January to repair a ruptured pectoral muscle. The 2016 fourth-rounder is entering the final year of his two-year contract extension that he signed with the Bears in November of 2023. Billings is slated to serve in a rotational role at defensive tackle behind Grady Jarrett and Gervon Dexter.

Billings suffered a pectoral injury in the Bears' Week 9 loss to the Cardinals and underwent successful surgery earlier Thursday, according to Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com. The 29-year-old defensive tackle is without a clear timeline for a return to game action, but he'll have to miss at least four contests after being placed on IR.

Billings is set to undergo surgery to address a pectoral injury he sustained Sunday at Arizona and is expected to be out for a prolonged period, Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
The severity of Billings' injury wasn't immediately clear when it forced him out of the Bears' contest in Week 10, but it's now clear that he's dealing with a serious issue. In his stead, Chris Williams could move into a starting role on the defensive line.
