Skipper (ankle) played in Saturday's preseason game against the Dolphins.
Skipper was in a walking boot last month after being injured in the Hall of Fame Game against the Chargers. He logged 35 offensive snaps against Miami. Skipper is set as Detroit's swing tackle.

Lions' Dan Skipper: Suffers ankle injury
Skipper left the locker room in a walking boot after suffering an ankle injury during Thursday's Hall of Fame Game against the Chargers, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports.
Skipper told reporters he rolled his ankle during the game. There's no timeline for his return, but he expects to know more Friday after presumably undergoing imaging.

Lions' Dan Skipper: Back with Detroit
The Lions re-signed Skipper to a one-year contract Monday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
A fan favorite in Detroit, Skipper appeared in all 17 regular-season games for the Lions last season and made five starts. He should again fill his sixth offensive lineman role as the Lions' top backup behind starting tackles Taylor Decker and Penei Sewell.

Skipper is starting at left tackle Sunday night against the Texans, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Skipper is playing in place of the injured Taylor Decker (shoulder). Decker popped up on the injury report Thursday and missed practice Friday. Skipper has eight previous starts across 48 career games prior to Sunday night.

Skipper suffered a hamstring injury in Detroit's Week 3 win over the Falcons. He has been sidelined since but now appears ready to provide depth along the offensive line in Sunday's matchup against the Buccaneers.
