Colts' Sam Tevi: Moves to IR
The Colts placed Tevi (knee) on injured reserve Monday, Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis reports.
With Tevi tearing his ACL in the Colts' preseason game against the Lions, this move was probably to be expected. With the 26-year-old left tackle out for the season, the Colts are left with Eric Fisher and Will Holden at the position. With Fisher out with COVID, Holden could potentially be the starter come Week 1.

Colts' Sam Tevi: Out for season
Tevi suffered a torn ACL during Friday's preseason contest against the Lions and is out for the season, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Tevi was signed by the Colts this offseason in the wake of Anthony Castonzo's retirement. Despite a history of knee injuries, the former Charger had never missed more than two games in a single season. With Tevi now done for the 2021 campaign and Eric Fisher (illness) on the COVID-19 list for an extended period, Will Holden is the only left tackle who remains able to suit up for the Colts.

Colts' Sam Tevi: Exits Friday's game on cart
Tevi (knee) was carted off the field during Friday's preseason contest against the Lions, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.
Tevi was signed as a depth offensive linemen after Anthony Castonzo retired this offseason. The extent of his knee injury is unknown, but whenever a cart is involved it's normally not a good sign. With projected starter Eric Fisher on the COVID-19 list, Will Holden is the only left tackle that remains able to suit up for the Colts.

Colts' Sam Tevi: Finds home with Colts
Indianapolis signed Tevi (knee) on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Tevi gives the Colts a left tackle to protect Carson Wentz in the wake of longtime veteran Anthony Castonzo's retirement. The former Charger has a history of knee injuries -- he missed the final regular-season game of 2020 due to such an issue -- but he's yet to sit out more than two contests in a single season.

Chargers' Sam Tevi: Will not play
Tevi (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
While it is unclear why Tevi will not play, his role as tackle will likely be covered by Trey Pipkins or Storm Norton. The 26-year-old has finished his season playing the most amount of offensive-line snaps this season (958 snaps).

Chargers' Sam Tevi: Not with team Sunday
Tevi is with his wife for the birth of their child and away from the team for Sunday's game against the Patriots, Gilbert Manzano of The Orange County Register reports.
Trey Pipkins or Storm Norton is poised to take over at left tackle for the Chargers while Tevi spends some time with his family.

Chargers' Sam Tevi: Frontrunner for LT job
Tevi is expected to start the preseason as the starting left tackle, Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times reports.
This comes directly from head coach Anthony Lynn, though it's probably easier to suggest Tevi is the starting option at the moment when his main competition -- Trey Pipkins -- is dealing with a right knee issue that's causing him to wear a brace. Tevi started 29 games combined over the past two seasons, though most have come at right tackle, a spot that is already reserved for major offseason acquisition Bryan Bulaga.
