49ers' Demarcus Robinson: Closes preseason with score
Robinson (suspension) recorded two receptions on two targets for 30 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 30-23 preseason win over the Chargers.
Robinson was a starting wide receiver opposite Robbie Chosen and made his biggest impact early in the second quarter when he made a 22-yard touchdown catch in the right corner of the end zone. Robinson is suspended for the first three games of the regular season, but he could be asked to serve as the 49ers' third receiver upon his return due to Brandon Aiyuk (knee) likely still being sidelined.

49ers' Demarcus Robinson: Suspended three games
San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan said Wednesday that Robinson has been suspended the first three games of the regular season for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Robinson's suspension relates to a misdemeanor DUI charge he pled no-contest to in July, stemming from an arrest last November. The veteran wide receiver will have to wait to make his regular-season debut until Sunday, Sept. 28 against the Jaguars, though he remains eligible to suit up for the 49ers' preseason finale against Los Angeles on Saturday. Robinson's absence will occur at an especially crucial point for San Francisco's passing game, with Brandon Aiyuk (PUP-knee) expected to be unavailable for the start of the regular season and all of Jauan Jennings (calf), Jacob Cowing (hamstring) and Jordan Watkins (ankle) currently missing time.

49ers' Demarcus Robinson: Two catches in team debut
Robinson brought in both targets for 20 yards in the 49ers' 30-9 preseason loss to the Broncos on Saturday night.
The veteran tied for second on the 49ers in catches in his official team debut. Robinson got involved immediately, recording an eight-yard reception on the first play from scrimmage while working with Mac Jones as his quarterback. Robinson would go on to add a 12-yard grab on the first play of San Fran's second drive, rounding out a brief but successful night to open the exhibition slate. Robinson could face some sort of league suspension after pleading no contest to a misdemeanor DUI charge in July, but he's projected to start the 2025 campaign in a prominent role on a receiving corps that isn't expected to have Brandon Aiyuk (PUP-knee) available to start the season.

49ers' Demarcus Robinson: Pleads no contest to DUI charge
Robinson, who pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor DUI charge stemming from his arrest last November, has been sentenced to three years' probation, the Orange County Register reports.
Robinson, who signed a two-year, $9.5 million contract in free agency with the 49ers in March, is coming off a 2024 regular season in which he recorded a 31/505/7 receiving line in 17 games with the Rams. When available, the 30-year-old is on track to provide veteran depth to a San Francisco wideout corps that could be without Brandon Aiyuk (knee) early on this season. Per Aidin Vaziri of the San Francisco Chronicle, the NFL has not announced whether Robinson will face discipline under its personal conduct policy.
