E.J. Bibbs: Joins Redskins' practice squad
Bibbs reached a deal to join the Redskins' practice squad Friday.
Bibbs injured his knee during training camp before being waived/injured by the Redskins. The 24-year-old spent his first three seasons with the Broncos, but mainly saw action in 12 games last year. The Redskins have dealt with a handful of injuries at running back this season, so more of those could mean Bibbs getting called up.

E.J. Bibbs: Reaches injury settlement
Bibbs (knee) reached an injury settlement with the Redskins on Thursday, Master Tesfatsion of The Washington Post reports.
The severity of the injury hasn't been specified, but Bibbs is now free to sign elsewhere if he is able to play. The 26-year-old injured his knee in Washington's preseason finale against Tampa Bay, but he was unlikely to survive roster cuts regardless.

Redskins' E.J. Bibbs: Lands on injured reserve
Bibbs (knee) cleared waivers and landed on the Redskins' injured reserve Sunday, Nora Princiotti of The Washington Times reports.
As expected, Bibbs landed on the IR after being waived with an injury tag. The injury had little to do with his exit, however, as he was not a strong candidate to make it through final cuts regardless. If he's unable to reach an injury settlement with the team, he will spend the entire season on injured reserve.

Bibbs left Thursday's preseason game against Tampa Bay with a knee injury and is questionable to return, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Before the injury, Bibbs caught the one pass directed at him for five yards. He hasn't particularly stood out in preseason, and at 6-foot-2, 258 pounds, he doesn't exactly fit the frame of an ideal special teams player.

Redskins' E.J. Bibbs: Signs with Redskins
Bibbs signed a contract with Washington on Thursday, Stephen Czarda of the Redskins' official site reports.
Bibbs hasn't appeared in a game since he played in seven games with the Browns as a rookie in 2015, recording one catch for seven yards. He spent last season with the Jaguars but was released by the team back in May. Now in Washington, Bibbs will be fighting for a depth tight end and special teams role.

Bibbs was waived by the Jaguars on Monday, Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports.
Bibbs signed a contract with the Jaguars in January with the hope that he'd be able to compete for a 53-man roster spot in training camp, but with six other tight ends on the depth chart, the front office determined he was an expendable piece. As a rookie last season with the Browns, Bibbs appeared in seven games, hauling in one of his two targets for seven yards.

Bibbs was forced to leave practice early due to the heat, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Bibbs struggles are likely just a one day occurrence, he should be able to return to practice on Friday. The second-year tight end is the team's number two option at the position and he'll be looking to improve on a measly one catch for seven yards during his rookie season.

Browns' E.J. Bibbs: Records one catch in rookie season
Bibbs finished his rookie season with one catch on two targets for seven yards.
Bibbs was able to make some noise during camp, but it was clear early on that Gary Barnidge would be the top pass catching option at the position. As such, Bibbs was inactive for nine of the first 10 games of the season, but did make the active roster for each game after the team's bye. Like fellow tight end Jim Dray, the 260-pound Bibbs is arguably just as useful as a blocker, so perhaps his time will come over the next couple seasons.
