Nick Williams: Let go Friday
Williams (undisclosed) was released from San Francisco's injured reserve with an injury settlement Friday, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Williams' injury is unclear in nature, but it's seemingly serious enough to have landed him on injured reserve Saturday. The 28-year-old was competing for a depth role in the Niners' receiving corps, but now he'll have to focus on getting healthy and finding a new opportunity elsewhere.

49ers' Nick Williams: Joining 49ers
Williams agreed to a deal with the 49ers on Tuesday.
Williams, an undrafted free agent in 2013, has played for a plethora of teams since. From the Redskins, to the Falcons, Titans and Rams, he has recorded just 280 yards on 30 receptions in 26 games. He had been with the Broncos for training camp but was recently let go. The journeyman will now look to make an impression in a small period of time at San Francisco's camp.

The Broncos released Williams on Monday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic reports.
Williams originally signed with Denver on July 26 after appearing in two games last season for the Rams. The 28-year-old hasn't been able to play in more than two games in a season since the 2015 campaign, where he caught 17 passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns for the Falcons.

Nick Williams: Let go by Rams
Williams was waived by the Rams on Friday, Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Rams' Nick Williams: Collects first receptions of 2018
Williams caught both of his targets for 17 yards during Sunday's 39-10 win over San Francisco. He played 10 of 61 offensive snaps.
Just signed to the team Tuesday, Williams leapfrogged a few Rams on the depth chart and took advantage of his limited playing time Sunday. He caught his passes in the second and third quarters, so his involvement in the vertical attack wasn't in garbage time, either. Still, the 27-year-old receiver is a long shot to make a notable impact and is off the fantasy radar in the majority of settings.

Rams' Nick Williams: Signs with Rams
Williams signed with the Rams on Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
With Cooper Kupp (knee) not expected to play in Sunday's game against the 49ers, the Rams will bring in Williams to shore up the depth at wide receiver. Williams was most recently released by the Titans a week ago after dropping a crucial pass in the team's loss to Buffalo. He likely won't play too large of a role in the Rams' passing game this weekend.

Titans' Nick Williams: Gets cut after costly drop
The Titans released Williams on Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
Williams was jettisoned from the 53-man roster just two days after dropping his lone target in Sunday's 12-9 loss to the Bills, a mistake that likely cost the Titans a touchdown. After being cut by the Titans following preseason, Williams re-signed with the team in September, appearing in two contests and seeing most of his action on special teams.

Titans' Nick Williams: Inks deal with Tennessee
Williams signed with the Titans on Monday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
Williams had been impressive throughout Tennessee's training camp earlier this year, but he fell victim to the numbers game. It's unlikely the Titans will ask much of Williams from an offensive standpoint, but the veteran wideout has a potential role waiting for him on special teams.
