  • Packers' Brandon McManus: Questionable for Week 6

McManus (right quadriceps) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Bengals, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.

McManus showed up on Green Bay's first Week 6 practice report Wednesday as limited due to a right quad injury, and he maintained that activity level through Friday. During a media session Thursday, he said "I plan on playing" against Cincinnati, but his status now won't be confirmed until about 90 minutes before Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. McManus added that the "tug" he felt in his quad Wednesday "felt very similar to when I had a quad-type deal in 2022," but he ended up taking the rest of that week off and handled placekicking duties on the ensuing Sunday. If there ends up being any doubt about McManus' status from a Packers perspective, the team may elevate Mark McNamee from the practice squad Saturday. If that doesn't occur, though, McManus should be good to go this weekend.

  • Packers' Brandon McManus: Manages limited practice Thursday

The Packers listed McManus (quadriceps) as a limited participant in Thursday's practice.

According to Ryan Wood of USA Today, McManus wasn't in full uniform during the open portion of Thursday's practice, nor was he seen doing any kicking after injuring his right quad during Wednesday's workout. Even so, McManus apparently did enough on-field work to garner a limited listing for the second straight day. Though head coach Matt LaFleur expressed some concern about McManus' availability for Sunday's game against the Bengals when he spoke to the media earlier Thursday, the kicker himself said after the practice session that he expects to be ready to play by the time the weekend arrives, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com. McManus' activity -- or lack thereof -- at Friday's practice will likely determine whether he takes a designation into Sunday.

  • Packers' Brandon McManus: Misses practice, could play Sunday

McManus (quadriceps) didn't participate in Thursday's practice, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.

Before Thursday's session got underway, head coach Matt LaFleur said that McManus was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice after injuring his right quad during the workout, per Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site. LaFleur added that McManus' injury was a "major concern right now," but the Packers aren't yet ruling the 34-year-old out from serving as their kicker Sunday against the Bengals. Though he didn't do any kicking with his injured leg Thursday, McManus was on the field and took part in individual drills, seemingly as a measure to get in some mental reps ahead of the Week 6 contest. He told Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com afterward that he plans to play Sunday, though McManus' activity at Friday's session will likely determine whether or not he heads into the weekend with a designation.

  • Packers' Brandon McManus: Dealing with quad injury

McManus was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice due to a right quadriceps injury.

McManus was one of 14 players listed on the Packers' first injury report following their Week 5 bye. Green Bay has kicker Mark McNamee on its practice squad as an international pathway player, though it's unclear if the Packers would feel comfortable turning to him as a replacement in the event McManus is unable to play Sunday against the Bengals.

  • Packers' Brandon McManus: Makes pair of clutch FGAs in Week 4

McManus went 2-for-2 on field-goal attempts and 4-for-5 on extra-point tries in Sunday's 40-40 overtime tie against the Cowboys.

McManus made a game-tying 53-yard field goal as time expired in regulation before connecting on a 34-yard try to even the score at 40-40 at the conclusion of overtime. The kicker's only miss of the day came in the second quarter, when he had an extra-point attempt blocked, which was ultimately returned for two points on the other end for Dallas. McManus has now gone 7-for-9 on field-goal tries, including 2-for-2 on attempts from 50-plus yards, while making 11 of 12 PATs over four games this season.

  • Packers' Brandon McManus: Gets blocked late in fourth

McManus went one of two on field-goal tries and made his only extra-point attempt in Sunday's 13-10 loss to the Browns.

The kicker had a 43-yard attempt blocked late in the fourth that would have given Green Bay a 13-10 lead. McManus is now five of seven on field-goal tries and seven of seven on extra points in 2025. Though he's missed two early kicks, McManus' job should be safe heading into Week 4, as Sunday's block came when a defender flew around the left side and into the backfield.

  • Packers' Brandon McManus: Mixed bag in Thursday's win

McManus made two of three field-goal attempts and all three of his PAT tries in Thursday's 27-18 win over the Commanders.

McManus missed a 48-yard attempt off the upright to end the first half but bounced back with a successful 22-yard field goal in the third quarter and an impressive 56-yarder in the fourth, which essentially sealed the win by making it a three-score game. McManus has made 24 of 26 field-goal attempts in 13 regular-season games as a member of the Packers.

  • Packers' Brandon McManus: Makes two FGAs in Week 1

McManus went 2-for-2 on field-goal attempts and made all three of his PATs in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Lions.

McManus made a 36-yard field goal in the first quarter before later adding a 38-yarder in the fourth. The kicker went 20-for-21 on field-goal tries over 11 regular-season games with Green Bay in 2024, and he has now picked up where he left off to open the 2025 campaign.

  • Packers' Brandon McManus: Perfect in preseason opener

McMamus made a 46-yard field goal and the lone extra point he attempted in Saturday's 30-10 exhibition loss to the Jets.

The Packers gave McManus only a couple chances to score, but he converted both opportunities. Although two other kickers are part of Green Bay's training camp roster, McManus shined last season and signed a three-year extension with the Packers in March, so he is locked in as the team's placekicker.

  • Packers' Brandon McManus: Gets three-year extension

McManus and the Packers agreed to terms Tuesday on a three-year, $15.3 million contract extension, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

McManus joined Green Bay midseason in 2024, ultimately converting 20 of 21 field-goal attempts and all 30 extra-point tries across 11 regular-season appearances with the team. He also converted one of two field-goal tries and his only PAT during the Packers' wild-card round loss to Philadelphia. McManus' tenure as the starter on a high-scoring offense will keep him in the mix as a relevant fantasy option at the kicker position for the 2025 campaign.
