Nick Williams: Healthy again
Williams was released with no injury designation by the 49ers on Tuesday.
The defensive tackle left the 49ers' preseason game against the Saints on Aug. 18 with a knee injury. The veteran is now free to sign with another team after recording 32 tackles for the Chargers in 2023.

49ers' Nick Williams: Exits game with knee injury
Williams left in the first half of Sunday's game against the Saints due to a knee injury and is questionable to return, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Williams was able to walk off the field under his own power after sustaining the injury. He signed with the 49ers on Wednesday after spending last season with the Chargers, finishing with 32 tackles (16 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and two fumble recoveries over 14 regular-season games. Williams is competing for a depth spot at defensive tackle behind starters Maliek Collins and Javon Hargrave.

Williams (shoulder) is expected to sign with the 49ers on Wednesday, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Williams finished his 2023 campaign on the Chargers with a shoulder injury, but it looks like he has moved on from the issue. The veteran defensive tackle is expected to add needed depth to the Niners' trenches.
