Neiron Ball: Waived Friday
The Raiders waived Ball (undisclosed) with a non-football injury designation Friday.
A fifth-round pick of the Raiders in 2015, Ball has spent time on IR in both professional seasons, including all of last year due to an undisclosed injury. With an ailment still plaguing him, the 24-year-old linebacker will have to prove his health if another organization comes calling.

Raiders' Neiron Ball: Spends 2016 on IR
Ball was on injured reserve for the duration of the 2016 season due to an undisclosed injury.
Ball was placed on IR after clearing waivers back in August. He's now ended his first two years in the league on IR and he'll be looking to stay healthy and make an impact for the Raiders in 2017.

Raiders' Neiron Ball: Deemed healthy for offseason program
Ball (knee) is "doing everything" and expected to be "ready to roll" for the offseason program by Raiders' GM Reggie McKenzie.
Ball emerged in Week 5 of last season by holding Denver TE Owen Daniels without a catch on five targets. The performance earned Ball his first career start versus San Diego in Week 6, but shortly into the game he suffered a knee sprain, was ruled out by halftime, and failed to take a snap the rest of the year. Ball will serve as depth for an imposing Raiders outside linebacking corps in 2016 behind Khalil Mack, Bruce Irvin, Malcolm Smith, and perhaps Aldon Smith (suspension), should he return in November.

Raiders' Neiron Ball: Lands on IR
Following up on an earlier report, Ball (knee) was placed on season-ending IR instead of being released, ESPN's Bill Williamson reports.
It was assumed that Ball would be released by the Raiders in lieu of the promotion of Leon Orr, but the Raiders opted to place their rookie linebacker on injured reserve instead. He could fight for snaps at one of the two outside linebacker positions next year, provided he returns healthy.

Raiders' Neiron Ball: Waived by the Raiders
Ball was released by the Raiders on Saturday.
Ball was a fifth round selection by the Raiders in the 2015 draft, but he was only able to appear in six of the team's first 14 games. He'll likely wind up on the Raiders' practice squad if he passes through waivers.
