Packers' Javon Hargrave: Inks two-year deal with Green Bay
The Packers agreed to terms with Hargrave on a two-year, $23 million contract Wednesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Hargrave was released by Minnesota in a cost-cutting move earlier Wednesday. He quickly lands back on his feet with the division-rival Packers. Now 33 years old, Hargrave remains productive after accruing 52 tackles (18 solo), including 3.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery across 16 regular-season contests in 2025. He figures to slot in at nose tackle for Green Bay.

Javon Hargrave: Let go by Vikings
Hargrave is slated to be released by Minnesota on Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Hargrave's release doesn't come as a surprise, as the team informed him of the planned transaction in early March, and a trade never seemed likely to materialized. The veteran defensive tackle stands to draw solid interest as a free agent.

Vikings' Javon Hargrave: Set to be cut by Minnesota
The Vikings informed Hargrave that he will be released at the start of the league year March 11 barring a trade, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Hargrave was set to enter the second and final year of his contract in 2026, but his departure will save the Vikings approximately $10.9 million in salary cap space. The 33-year-old finished the 2025 regular season with 52 tackles (18 solo), including 3.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery across 16 games. Once the move is official, Hargrave should draw plenty of interest from teams looking to add a veteran defensive lineman in free agency.

Vikings' Javon Hargrave: Notches 3.5 sacks in 10th season
Hargrave recorded 52 tackles, including 3.5 sacks, along with a forced fumble and a recovered fumble over 16 games (15 starts) during the 2025 season.
Hargrave was limited to just three games with San Francisco in 2024 due to a triceps injury, but he remained healthy throughout the 2025 campaign -- his first with Minnesota. However, he couldn't approach his career-high mark of 11.0 sacks, and 2.0 of the veteran defensive lineman's 3.5 total sacks came in Week 1. Hargrave signed a two-year contract last March, so he's tentatively slated to return to Minnesota for the 2026 campaign.

Vikings' Javon Hargrave: Ready for Thursday
Hargrave (thigh) doesn't have an injury designation ahead of Thursday's game against the Lions.
Hargrave logged limited practices all week with a thigh injury, and the partial participation was clearly enough to clear the defensive lineman of any injury designation. The 32-year-old is all set to suit up alongside Jalen Redmond and Jonathan Allen in the hopes of crushing the Lions' dreams of the postseason.

Vikings' Javon Hargrave: Deemed limited Monday, Tuesday
Hargrave (thigh) has been deemed a limited participant on Minnesota's estimated practice report both Monday and Tuesday.
Hargrave didn't play against the Giants on Sunday due to the thigh injury he suffered one week earlier versus Dallas. The Vikings haven't held an actual practice yet this week, but the veteran defensive lineman's listing as limited two straight days suggests he at least has a chance of suiting up Thursday against Detroit. However, if Hargrave has to miss that game, a combination of Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins and Elijah Williams could help fill the void.

Vikings' Javon Hargrave: Won't play in Week 16
Hargrave (thigh) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Giants, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.
Hargrave will sit out due to a thigh injury, which was originally termed a groin injury when he first got hurt in the Week 15 win over Dallas. He won't have much time to recover before the Vikings take the field again Thursday in Week 17. Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins could play an expanded role Sunday against the Giants in Hargrave's absence.

Vikings' Javon Hargrave: Sidelined by thigh injury
Hargrave (thigh) did not practice Wednesday.
Hargrave suffered what was termed a groin injury in Sunday night's win over the Cowboys. While he was sidelined with a thigh injury Wednesday, the issue is presumably the same. Hargrave's status looks to be in jeopardy for Sunday's matchup against the Giants.

Vikings' Javon Hargrave: Questionable to return to SNF
Hargrave (groin) is questionable to return to Sunday night's contest against the Cowboys.
