Ken Crawley: Released by San Francisco
The 49ers released Crawley on Monday.
Crawley signed with the 49ers in mid-August but finds himself among the first wave of cuts ahead of Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline. The veteran defensive back has spent the majority of his career in New Orleans, but he hasn't garnered a major role since 2018, when he totaled 31 tackles and six pass defenses across 10 appearances.

Saints' Ken Crawley: Signs to active roster
Crawley was signed to the Saints' active roster Tuesday.
Crawley has been with the Saints since coming into the league in 2016, with a small detour in Miami. His season has been riddled with issues between starting the season on IR with a hamstring issue, then spending time on the COVID-19 list. Crawley was finally activated from IR on Nov. 14 and played three special-teams snaps in Week 10. He'll now look at add depth to the Saints' secondary as soon as Thursday against the Bills.

Crawley (hamstring) was activated from IR on Saturday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
Crawley has yet to play this season after injuring his hamstring in a preseason game. He was expected to start opposite Marshon Lattimore going into the season, but he'll likely return to a reserve role for now.

Crawley (hamstring) was activated off the Saints' reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Amie Just of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Crawley was placed on the Saints' reserve/COVID-19 list a couple of weeks ago after testing positive for COVID-19. The cornerback is still on the Saints' injured reserve list for his hamstring injury, but he is expected to get activated to New Orleans' active roster at some point in the foreseeable future.

Crawley (hamstring) was added to the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
The cornerback was designed to return from injured reserve Wednesday before testing positive for COVID-19. He'll likely be inactive in Week 8, whether due to illness or the injury. Bradley Roby was acquired in early September and will continue to help fill in for Crawley in the secondary.

Crawley (undisclosed) is expected to be out for a couple weeks after suffering an injury during Monday's preseason win against Jacksonville, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Crawley was expected to open the season as a starter at cornerback for the Saints after re-signing in May, but his availalbity is now in question with Week 1 less than three weeks away. Third-round rookie Paulson Adebo should be in the mix for the starting role while Crawley deals with the unspecified injury.
