Chiefs coach Andy Reid said Saturday that Bush suffered a torn left Achilles tendon during Saturday's 20-17 preseason loss to the Broncos, Nate Taylor of ESPN.com reports.
Bush will miss the entire 2025 season due to the nature of the injury he picked up during Kansas City's preseason opener. Expect the Chiefs to officially place the veteran safety on IR in the coming days.

Bush was carted off the field Saturday due to a left Achilles injury, per Nate Taylor of ESPN.com. After spending his first six seasons in Chicago, Bush is set to start his third straight campaign in Kansas City. He played in just six games during the 2023 season and was primarily used on special teams. Bush, who turns 30 in August, recorded just 11 tackles in 16 games with Kansas City last season, numbers that kept him off the IDP radar. However, in addition to continuing to provide the team with depth at safety, the 2016 fourth-rounder will also reprise his role as a core special-teamer for the Chiefs in 2023.
