Giants' Jameis Winston: Serviceable in spot start
Winston completed 19 of 29 passes for 201 yards with no touchdowns and one interception while adding three rushes for 10 yards and a touchdown in the Giants' 27-20 loss to the Packers on Sunday. He also lost a fumble.
Called on over Russell Wilson for a Week 11 spot start in place of Jaxson Dart (concussion), Winston delivered a competent performance and had the Giants in contention for an upset until throwing a late end-zone interception that appeared to be caused by the intended receiver cutting his route short. Winston otherwise displayed virtually no rust despite not having played all season prior to Sunday, and he connected with six different targets overall. Dart may be ready to return for next Sunday's Week 12 road showdown against the Lions, but Winston would step in again should the rookie need another week to clear concussion protocol.

Giants' Jameis Winston: Named starter for Week 11
Giants interim coach Mike Kafka said Wednesday that Winston will start Sunday's matchup against the Packers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Winston has overtaken Russell Wilson as the No. 2 quarterback in New York, and he'll officially start versus Green Bay in Week 11 with Jaxson Dart (concussion) still working his way through the NFL's protocol for brain injuries. Last season, Winston started seven games with the Browns (12 appearances) and compiled 2,121 passing yards, 13 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He's spent the 2025 campaign so far operating as the Giants' emergency No. 3 quarterback.

Giants' Jameis Winston: Trending toward Sunday's start
Winston is expected to draw the start at QB for the Giants against the Packers on Sunday, Jordan Raanan of ESPN reports.
Per the report, Jaxson Dart -- who is in the NFL's concussion protocol in advance of Wednesday's practice -- seems unlikely to play this weekend, and if he's sidelined, Winston rather than Russell Wilson would be in line to draw the start against Green Bay. Winston thus represents an option for those in QB-friendly fantasy formats, or who are otherwise in need of signal-caller depth ahead of Week 11 action.
