  • Zach Pascal: Let go by G-Men

New York released Pascal on Friday, Dan Salomone of the team's official site reports.

Pascal inked a one-year contract with the Giants back in March, but he won't make the team's initial 53-man roster. The veteran wideout is an experienced depth option, having suited up for all 17 regular-season games with the Cardinals last season, though he wasn't targeted. That gives him a solid chance to resurface in a reserve role at some point this season, whether in New York or with another club.

  • Giants' Zach Pascal: Moving to NFC East

Pascal and the Giants have agreed upon a one-year contract, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

With New York, Pascal will get to reunite with wide receivers coach Mike Groh, who was on the Colts' staff during Pascal's final two seasons in Indianapolis. The veteran wideout has seen his role shift in recent campaigns, as Pascal logged more snaps on special teams than on offense each of the past two years while with Arizona -- in fact, he played in all 17 of the Cardinals' contests last season but didn't see a target in the passing game. Pascal could fill a similar role with the Giants, though he should at least get a chance to compete for a depth receiver role during training camp.

  • Cardinals' Zach Pascal: Struggling to find snaps on offense

Pascal went without a target while playing two of the Cardinals' 71 snaps on offense in Sunday's 30-18 loss to the Seahawks.

Pascal has been active in all 13 of the Cardinals' games thus far, but he's been deployed primarily on special teams. The 29-year-old receiver has yet to draw a target across his 53 snaps on offense this season.

  • Cardinals' Zach Pascal: Remains without target in 2024

Pascal wasn't targeted while playing two of the Cardinals' 57 snaps on offense in Monday's 17-15 win over the Chargers.

Pascal has suited up in each of Arizona's first seven games, but he's played double-digit snaps on offense just once, when he got on the field for 10 plays in a Week 5 win over the 49ers. Though he cleared 600 receiving yards in two seasons with Indianapolis earlier in his career, Pascal looks to be valued mostly for his special-teams contributions at this stage. He recorded just four receptions for 19 yards over 14 games in his first season with Arizona in 2023, and he has yet to draw a target in 2024.

  • Cardinals' Zach Pascal: Musters career-worst output

Pascal tallied four catches (on 15 targets) for 19 yards and no touchdowns in 14 games during the 2023 campaign.

In a receiving corps devoid of size outside of rookie third-rounder Michael Wilson (6-foot-2, 213 pounds), the 6-foot-2, 219-pound Pascal had a chance for a decent role in a Cardinals offense otherwise dominated by the diminutive Marquise Brown, Rondale Moore and Greg Dortch. Instead, Pascal surpassed a 30 percent snap share in only two of his 14 appearances and stumbled to the lowest output of his six-year career by a long shot. He's an unrestricted free agent in the offseason, so the 29-year-old may not be much more than camp fodder for any team that inks him to a new deal in the coming months.

  • Cardinals' Zach Pascal: Good to go for Week 18

Pascal (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.

Pascal was on the Cardinals' injury report Thursday with a hamstring issue, but was able to log back-to-back limited sessions to end the week and will play in the team's regular-season finale. The veteran wide receiver has split his time between offense and special teams this season and has accrued four catches on 15 targets for 19 yards over 13 games.

  • Cardinals' Zach Pascal: Dealing with hamstring injury

Pascal is questionable for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Seahawks due to a hamstring injury, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

Pascal popped up on the Cardinals' injury report with a hamstring issue Thursday and has since logged a pair of limited practice sessions. The veteran receiver has played a limited role for Arizona this season, and he hasn't caught a pass since Week 4 against San Francisco. If Pascal is unable to suit up Sunday, Dan Chisena could be signed to the active roster from the practice squad to provide wideout depth Week 18.

  • Cardinals' Zach Pascal: Missing Sunday's contest

Pascal (personal) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Steelers, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

The 28-year-old wideout won't play in Sunday's affair after the birth of his child Saturday. On the season, Pascal has caught four of his 11 targets for 19 yards, playing on just 21 percent of Arizona's offensive snaps. With no Pascal in Week 13, Andre Baccellia could see increased opportunities on both special teams and offense.

  • Cardinals' Zach Pascal: Questionable for Sunday

Pascal (personal) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Pittsburgh, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

Also per Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com, Pascal is not traveling with the Cardinals on Friday but is expected to join the team again Saturday. That would suggest he'll probably play in Week 13, but if he can't, it will likely mean more playing time for Andre Baccellia.

  • Cardinals' Zach Pascal: Set to return Sunday

Pascal (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the Rams, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Pascal sat out of the Cardinals' Week 11 loss to the Texans after he sustained a hamstring injury the week prior. He was a limited participant in practice all week and could see extended time in three-wideout sets with Michael Wilson (shoulder) ruled out for Sunday's contest.
