Frank Clark: Officially cut by Seattle
The Seahawks waived Clark on Saturday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
After reports that Clark's second-tenure in Seattle was coming to a close, the two sides officially parted ways Saturday. The veteran edge rusher appeared in six games since signing with the Seahawks on Oct. 26, recording just six total tackles on 142 defensive snaps. Derick Hall is expected to see increased opportunities as a reserve outside linebacker going forward.

Seahawks' Frank Clark: Appears set to be let loose by SEA
The Seahawks plan to waive Clark on Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Seattle signed Clark to a one-year contract Oct. 26 after he was released by Denver two weeks prior. The veteran has seen his playing time trend downward of late and had already been ruled out for Sunday's contest against Pittsburgh for what would be his third missed contest over the past five weeks. Clark has a 13.0-sack season on his resume (from 2018 during his first stint with Seattle), but he hasn't gotten to the quarterback a single time over 167 defensive snaps between the Seahawks and Broncos this season.

Seahawks' Frank Clark: Deemed DNP for rest purposes
The Seahawks listed Clark as a nonparticipant as a resting player at Wednesday's practice walk-through, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Clark missed Sunday's win over the Titans due to an illness, but his DNP on Wednesday was attributed to rest. As such, he appears to be clear of his ailment and should be able to return to action against Pittsburgh this Sunday. Clark has played a rotational role on defense for Seattle this season, logging less than half of the team's defensive snaps in all but one of his six games with the club.

Seahawks' Frank Clark: Won't play Week 16
Clark (illness) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Titans, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Clark was not listed on the Seahawks' injury report all week, but it now seems as if he's come down with an illness that will hold him out of the team's Week 16 contest. With Clark missing Sunday's affair, expect Darrell Taylor and Derick Hall to see increased opportunities rushing the passer.
