Titans' Brandon Allen: Looks to be Ward's backup
Allen completed nine of 15 passes for 137 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Friday's 23-13 preseason win over the Vikings.
Allen followed Cameron Ward into the game, taking over for Tennessee's third offensive possession. He benefited from a 65-yard touchdown pass that came exclusively after the catch, but Allen executed fairly well and avoided costly mistakes. He appears to be lined up to serve as Ward's backup heading into a Week 1 matchup against the Broncos.

Titans' Brandon Allen: Lands in Tennessee
The Titans agreed to terms Thursday with Allen on a one-year contract, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Allen appeared in three games last season as Brock Purdy's top backup in San Francisco. Now, the veteran journeyman joins a Tennessee quarterback room that currently only houses himself and Will Levis, but which should see further additions via either free agency or April's draft, in which the team holds the No. 1 overall pick.

49ers' Brandon Allen: Starts one game in 2024
Allen completed 17 of 30 pass attempts for 199 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions across three games with the 49ers in 2024.
Allen finally made his on-field debut with San Francisco after spending much of his three-year tenure as a member on the practice squad. The veteran backup earned a start in Week 12 in place of then-injured starter Brock Purdy, but mixed results led to fellow backup Joshua Dobbs starting the team's final regular season contest. The 31-year-old Allen will become an unrestricted free agent this upcoming offseason, and he'll likely provide depth for San Francisco or another club if signed ahead of the 2025 campaign.
