Paul Richardson: Cut quickly by Seahawks
Richardson was released by the Seahawks on Saturday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
The writing was on the wall following David Moore's contract restructuring. The addition of Josh Gordon, who could be reinstated at some point in the near future, and the return of Phillip Dorsett (foot) to practice made Richardson expendable. He'll join a host of notable names to immediately enter free agency.

Seahawks' Paul Richardson: Officially signs with Seattle
Richardson signed a contract with the Seahawks on Saturday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Richardson played four seasons with the Seahawks from 2014-17 but never emerged as a true starting option until his final year, when he posted career highs in receptions (44), receiving yards (703) and touchdowns (six). With Phillip Dorsett (foot) expected to be out for "some time" according to coach Pete Carroll, Richardson offers a unique type of speed behind the likes of DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

Paul Richardson: Seattle reunion possible
Richardson (hamstring) visited the Seahawks on Wednesday and could re-sign with the team this week, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Richardson, who was cut by Washington back in February, could offer the Seahawks a experienced depth option at receiver. His most productive NFL season came with Seattle in 2017, when Richardson connected with Russell Wilson for 44 catches, 703 yards and six scores. The 28-year-old will need to clear a physical and go through necessary COVID-19 protocols before putting pen to paper on any deal with Seattle.

Paul Richardson: Cut by Washington
Richardson is being released by Washington, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
It isn't clear if Richardson was approached about a pay cut before the final decision was made. Either way, he'll be free to immediately sign with a new team, after making it just two seasons deep on a five-year, $40 million contract. Richardson, who will turn 28 in April, missed the final five games of 2019 with a hamstring injury. A 44-703-6 receiving line for the 2017 Seahawks represents the only productive season on his NFL resume.

Redskins' Paul Richardson Jr.: Looking like a cap casualty
Richardson (hamstring) may be cut this offseason, ESPN.com's John Keim reports.
Entering the third season of a five-year, $40 million contract, Richardson will have $2 million of his $6 million base salary become guaranteed if he's still on the Washington roster on the fifth day of the 2020 league year (March 22). Coming off a pair of injury-plagued seasons, Richardson likely needs to renegotiate his contract to have any shot at sticking around with the new coaching staff in Washington. The 27-year-old finished 2019 on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, making his final appearance Week 12.

Richardson (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
It's a disappointing end to Richardson's season, as the 27-year-old simply couldn't get on the field after aggravating a hamstring injury in Week 11. It'll be interesting to see how the Redskins handle Richardson's contract in the offseason, as the former Seahawk has played in just 17 of a possible 32 games since joining the Redskins two years ago. Cutting Richardson would save the Redskins $2.5 million in cap space next year.

Richardson (hamstring) has been ruled out Sunday's game against the Eagles, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Richardson was able to practice in a limited capacity Wednesday and Thursday before sitting out Friday's session, so he should have a shot to play Week 16 and/or 17. His continued absence, along with that of Trey Quinn (concussion), leaves regular snaps for Kelvin Harmon and Steven Sims behind No. 1 target Terry McLaurin.

This marks Richardson's first practice reps since he aggravated a hamstring injury Week 12 against the Lions. Because he was able to handle every rep Wednesday, he appears good to go for the Redskins' Week 15 matchup with the Eagles. In three games with Dwayne Haskins as the team's starting signal-caller, Richardson has managed eight catches (on 11 targets) for 82 yards and no touchdowns.

Richardson was a limited practice participant Wednesday.
Although interim coach Bill Callahan told Rhiannon Walker of The Athletic that Richardson practiced fully Wednesday, the official injury report said otherwise. If Callahan can be taken at his word, Richardson seems to be trending in the right direction after missing three of the last four games due to a hamstring injury. Richardson has two more chances this week to elevate to full activity in practice.

With Richardson and Trey Quinn (concussion) both set to be inactive, Washington will roll with Terry McLaurin, Kelvin Harmon and Steven Sims in three-wide formations. Harmon has made a strong case to continue playing even if/when Richardson returns to health.
