Jay Prosch: Released by the Texans
Prosch was released by the Texans on Friday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
The Texans handed Prosch a three-year contract at the beginning of 2017, but they decided to save the $1 million guaranteed base salary for this coming season. He was used sparingly on offense, mostly as a blocking back, and was primarily a special teams contributor.

Texans' Jay Prosch: Inked to three-year extension
Prosch signed a three-year contract extension with the Texans on Thursday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
The durable Prosch, who has played in all but one game in three seasons with the Texans, is primarily a lead blocker and special teams contributor. As a fantasy asset, there's not much there. Prosch has 10 rushing attempts and six targets over 47 games played.

Texans' Jay Prosch: Set to return in Saturday's playoff game
Prosch (ankle) was a full participant in Friday's practice and will play in Saturday's playoff game against the Raiders.
Prosch missed the Texans' regular season finale with an ankle injury. Having logged just four rushing attempts all season, he is far off the fantasy radar.

Texans' Jay Prosch: Ruled out Week 17
Prosch (ankle) was ruled out of Sunday's game versus the Titans.
Prosch wasn't able to practice this week due to an issue with one of his ankles. If ever in need of traditional fullback services Sunday, the Texans could turn to either C.J. Fiedorowicz or Stephen Anderson.

Texans' Jay Prosch: Ready to go Sunday
Prosch (hamstring) is active for Sunday's matchup against the Chargers.
Prosch has collected double-digit offensive snap counts for the past three weeks but has just one carry over that span, and he hasn't been targeted in the passing game. The fact he's active has little fantasy impact, outside of the fact that he'll be available to help pave the way for starter Lamar Miller.

Texans' Jay Prosch: Questionable to play
Prosch (hamstring) is questionable to play Monday night against the Raiders.
Prosch, the Texans' starting fullback, practiced in full capacity Friday and doesn't appear in danger of missing Monday's action.
