Williams' release frees up more than $6 million in cap space for Buffalo with just $3.6 in dead money, a situation which made the starting offensive lineman's departure fairly predictable. Meanwhile, the Bills could have difficulty replacing the versatility he offered the O-line.

Williams has been a nice surprise all season as a rock at right offensive tackle, and it appears as if he's set to continue on his fine campaign.

Williams was forced out of Saturday's contest midway through the third quarter. Ty Nsekhe stands to fill in at right tackle as long as Williams remains sidelined.
