Spencer Ware: Finds spot with Chicago
Ware signed with Chicago's practice squad Tuesday.
Coach Matt Nagy declared Monday that Cordarrelle Patterson (knee) is day-to-day, but this signing signals that there may be more concern about the backup running back's status than before. Nevertheless, Ware will add backfield depth for the Bears as they look to keep their playoff hopes alive. The 29-year-old tailback played three games for the Chiefs last season, registering 39 yards on 13 touches.

Spencer Ware: Visiting Las Vegas
The Raiders hosted Ware (shoulder) for a tryout Thursday, Albert Breer of TheMMQB.com reports.
Ware has yet to settle in with a team during the 2020 season after the Chiefs let him hit the free agency market last offseason. With Josh Jacobs (ankle) missing Thursday's practice, the team could be looking for running back depth heading into Week 13. Last season with the Chiefs, the veteran only rushed the ball 17 times for 51 yards across three games.

Chiefs' Spencer Ware: Looking for home in 2020
Ware (shoulder) will head into the 2020 offseason set to become an unrestricted free agent.
Ware's knowledge of the offense paid off late in the season when the Chiefs were lacking depth at the position due to injury, resulting in Ware's addition to the roster. Unfortunately, his campaign ended just three weeks after it began due to a rotator cuff tear, landing him back in the free-agent market this offseason with an injury to boot. He'll likely have to prove to teams he's healthy ahead of 2020 before landing a gig.

Chiefs' Spencer Ware: Headed for IR
The Chiefs placed Ware on injured reserve Wednesday due to a torn rotator cuff, Terez A. Paylor of Yahoo Sports reports.
With that, LeSean McCoy -- a healthy scratch in the Chiefs' Week 16 win over the Bears -- will likely be active for Sunday's game against the Chargers. Meanwhile, Damien Williams and Darwin Thompson remain on in the backfield as the Chiefs head into a Week 17 matchup with the Chargers.

Chiefs' Spencer Ware: Hurts shoulder against Bears
Ware is questionable to return to Sunday's game in Chicago due to a shoulder injury.
Ware didn't look to be in too much discomfort on the sidelines, but there's a good chance the Chiefs leave him out the rest of the way in a game that they're dominating. Expect Ware to retain a role in the team's running-back rotation in Week 17 against the Chargers, assuming his shoulder isn't an issue.

Chiefs' Spencer Ware: Picks up 35 yards in win
Ware ran for 26 yards on seven carries and added nine yards on two catches during Sunday's 23-3 win over Denver.
It was just his second game back in red and yellow, but Ware managed to tie for the team lead among running backs with nine touches Sunday. The Chiefs have split up the workload among Ware, Darwin Thompson and Shady McCoy in Damien Williams' (ribs) three-game absence, making it hard to put much faith in any of them. Ware, signed just two weeks ago, certainly has the freshest legs of the bunch, but, whether or not Williams is ready Sunday, Ware is a tough play against a very stout Chicago run defense.
