Jason McCourty: Retires from NFL
McCourty announced his retirement from the NFL via his personal Instagram account, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.

The 2009 sixth-round pick recorded at least 60 tackles seven times during his 13-year career and registered 17 interceptions, eight forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries -- including two defensive touchdowns.

Dolphins' Jason McCourty: Shifts to injured reserve
The Dolphins placed McCourty (foot) on injured reserve Tuesday.
As expected, McCourty lands on IR after injuring his foot in Week 7. The team still hasn't decided if he will need surgery, but he will be sidelined for at least three weeks with the move to IR. Rookie Jevon Holland will likely step into a starting role during McCourty's absence.

Dolphins' Jason McCourty: Might not return Sunday
McCourty (foot) is questionable to return Sunday against the Falcons.
McCourty had played 35 percent or fewer of the defensive snaps in the last two games, and this injury isn't going to help his chances of seeing the number of snaps he was seeing earlier this year. If McCourty can't continue in this game, then Jevon Holland would be in line to see additional snaps.

Dolphins' Jason McCourty: Solid vs. Colts
McCourty had eight tackles (two solo) during Sunday's 27-17 loss to Indianapolis.
McCourty only managed a combined 10 tackles across the first three weeks of the season, but he succeeded in racking up respectable IDP production against Indianapolis. The 12-year veteran still isn't in the conversation to be a reliable weekly IDP contributor, but his workload makes him a fair fill-in fantasy option.
