Dion Jordan: Scores tryout with Saints
New Orleans is hosting Jordan (knee) for a tryout Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
Jordan appears to have fully recovered from the knee injury he suffered January of 2021. The veteran defensive end hasn't logged any NFL action this season, but he could have a chance to latch on with the Saints.

49ers' Dion Jordan: Leaves with knee injury
Jordan (knee) will not return to Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
After missing last week's game against the Cardinals, Jordan will now be forced into a premature exit. The 30-year-old has registered 17 tackles (11 solo) and three sacks this season.

49ers' Dion Jordan: Green light for season finale
Jordan (knee) will play in Sunday's game against the Seahawks, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Jordan missed last week's win over the Seahawks, but he'll return to the lineup for the season finale. The veteran defensive end has averaged 31 defensive snaps per game this year, registering 17 tackles, three sacks and a pass breakup.

After fielding his first start of the 2020 campaign last Sunday in a loss to Washington, Jordan will now be forced to a premature exit. The 2013 No. 3 overall draft choice stands one sack away from equaling his career high (four), but he'll only have two more opportunities to retake the field Weeks 16 and 17 against division rivals Arizona and Seattle.

Jordan now has a sack in back-to-back contests after only recording one sack through the first 12 weeks of the season. Sunday also marked Jordan's highest single-game snap count of the year. Should he keep up this high level of play, look for the high rep count to remain.

Jordan served a 10-game suspension last season and didn't make much of an impact when the Raiders signed him, as he recorded just five tackles over seven games. He was afforded plenty of opportunities, too, averaging 25.1 defensive snaps per contest.

49ers' Dion Jordan: Gets next chance in San Francisco
Jordan agreed Friday with the 49ers on a one-year contract, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Joining a team that already has Nick Bosa, Dee Ford and Arik Armstead at defensive end, Jordan will merely be competing for a roster spot. The No. 3 overall pick from the 2013 NFL Draft has managed only 10.5 sacks and 50 NFL appearances to date, but he did notch a pair of sacks while playing for the Raiders over the final seven weeks of last season. Jordan turned 30 in March.

Jordan is returning from his 10-game PED suspension. He tallied 22 tackles (17 solo) with 1.5 sacks in Seattle last season and will provide depth on the Raiders defensive line.

Dion Jordan: Handed 10-game suspension
Jordan was suspended for 10 games for a violation of the NFL's PED policy, Tom Pelissero of NFL.com reports.
Jordan, who is currently unsigned, violated the policy when he tested positive for Adderall after his therapeutic use exemption expired. The defensive end is coming off a rough 2018 campaign with Seattle, and the 10-game suspension, for which he has already lost an appeal, is certainly not going to do him any favors regarding his future in the league.
