Jets' Tyrod Taylor: New starter in New York
The Jets plan to have Taylor replace Justin Fields as their starting quarterback for Sunday's game in Baltimore, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports.
Taylor previously relieved Fields during New York's loss to the Panthers in Week 7 and then appeared set to take over as the team's starter Week 8, but a knee contusion suffered versus Carolina derailed that opportunity. However, Fields' continued struggles as a passer now pave the way for Taylor to take over under center Week 12. With Garrett Wilson (knee) on injured reserve, Taylor may be challenged to rack up notable production through the air, though improving upon Fields' average of 139.9 passing yards per game is a more than reasonable target. Adonai Mitchell, John Metchie and Tyler Johnson will operate as Taylor's top wideouts versus Baltimore.

Jets' Tyrod Taylor: Returning as backup QB in Week 10
Taylor will serve as the backup to starting quarterback Justin Fields in Sunday's game against the Browns, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
After coming on in relief of a struggling Fields in the Jets' Week 7 loss to the Panthers, Taylor appeared poised to take over as the team's starting quarterback in Week 8. However, Taylor emerged from the loss to the Panthers with a knee contusion, and after he wasn't able to advance beyond limited participation that week, the Jets stuck with Fields as their starter. Fields proceeded to turn in one of his best performances of the season as the Jets claimed their first win in a 39-38 victory over the Bengals, and he'll get the chance to build on that positive outing coming out of New York's Week 9 bye. Taylor was a full participant in practice throughout Week 10 and has moved past the injury, so the Jets likely won't hesitate to turn to him if Fields is unable to move the offense early on in Sunday's contest.

Jets' Tyrod Taylor: Practices without restrictions
Taylor (knee) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Taylor had been in contention to replace Justin Fields under center and start Week 8 versus the Bengals, but he was instead ruled out due to a knee injury. That paved the way for Fields to log his best performance of the season in the 39-38 win, potentially reaffirming his grip on the starting job. That said, head coach Aaron Glenn has yet to confirm a No. 1 quarterback for Sunday's game against the Browns, as he was noncommittal about Fields entering the Week 9 bye. It shouldn't be long before Glenn provides further clarification.

Jets' Tyrod Taylor: Ready to practice after bye week
Jets head coach Aaron Glenn said Monday that Taylor (knee) will resume practicing this week, Eric Allen of the Jets' official site reports.
After the Jets fell to 0-7 following a 13-6 loss to the Panthers on Oct. 19, all signs seemed to point to Taylor displacing the struggling Justin Fields as the team's starting quarterback. However, Taylor picked up a knee injury at some point during his appearance in relief of Fields in the loss to Carolina, and Taylor ended up being a limited participant throughout Week 8 prep before being ruled out ahead of the Jets' matchup with the Bengals. Fields continued to direct the offense and turned in one of his best performances of the season en route to leading the Jets to a come-from-behind 39-38 victory over Cincinnati, but Glenn remains non-committal on a starting quarterback coming out of the team's Week 9 bye. Fields' stellar outing might be enough to give him the early edge on the starting nod for Sunday's game against the Browns, even though Taylor looks like he could be back to full health. The Jets' first Week 10 practice report will be posted Wednesday and reveal whether Taylor remains limited or has upgraded to full activity.
