Scott (concussion) agreed to an injury settlement with the Panthers on Monday, Joe Person of the Charlotte Observer reports.
Scott is now free from injured reserve and eligible to sign elsewhere.

Head coach Ron Rivera indicated Monday that Scott is still in the team's concussion protocol, Joe Person of the Charlotte Observer reports.
Scott's status heading toward Week 1 is seemingly up in the air until his health is in order. The veteran projects to back up Trai Turner at right guard, as well as provide some overall depth to the offensive line this season.

Scott, who was suspended for the first four games of the 2016 due to a violation of the league's policy on performance enhancing drugs, is set to return Week 5, Jonathan Jones of the Charlotte Observer reports.
Scott's return will add depth to the Panthers offensive line, something they need desperately after surrendering eight sacks to the Vikings in Week 5.
