Karl Klug: Cut by Titans
Klug was released by the Titans on Friday, Cameron Wolfe of ESPN reports.
Klug, now entering his age-30 season, may not have been viewed as a fit in new Titans defensive coordinator Dean Pees' system. Regardless, his release saves the team roughly $2 million in cap space. Still a productive asset despite his advanced age, Klug shouldn't have a problem landing a new contract this offseason.

Titans' Karl Klug: Will play Sunday
Klug (groin) will play in Sunday's preseason game against the Bears, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports.
This doesn't come as much of a surprise, considering Klug returned to practice this past week after suffering a minor groin injury. With his injury history, however, Klug will likely play limited snaps in Sunday's contest.

Titans' Karl Klug: In line to practice this week
Klug (groin) is expected to return to practices this week, Jason Wolf of The Tennessean reports.
Klug was originally scheduled to return last week after a long recovery from a torn Achilles last December, but he recently suffered a minor groin injury that delayed his return to the field. Expect the Titans to ease the veteran back into practice reps this week.

Titans' Karl Klug: Expects to return to practice Wednesday
Klug (Achilles) is expected to return to practice Wednesday, ESPN's Cameron Wolfe reports.
Klug's long journey back to the field seems like its finally coming to a close. The seven-year vet tore his Achilles last December and has been itching to return. Klug likely will ease back into things, and it'll be a good sign to see him out on the field again.

Titans' Karl Klug: Nearing return
Klug (Achilles) figures to be back on the field in six weeks, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official website reports. "I am sick of missing practices," the defensive end said. "But they have me on a good schedule, doing rehab, and I'm working to get back as fast as I can."
Klug tore his Achilles back in the December and has been on the long road to recovery ever since. Just because he's not on the field doesn't mean Klug isn't a constant presence, however, with head coach Mike Mularkey noting that the 29-year-old "lives in the building and should have an address here." It seems unlikely Klug will be ready for the beginning of training camp, but he projects to be able to return shortly thereafter.

Titans' Karl Klug: Could miss OTAs
Klug (Achilles) hopes to be back for training camp, but could miss the organized team activities prior, Jim Wyatt of Titans Online reprts.
Klug shed his walking boot in March, and is seemingly on track for a return at the beginning of training camp. The 29-year-old ruptured his Achilles tendon in Week 16 of last season. Barring any setbacks, the veteran should be on track to help provide depth on the defensive line for the start of his seventh season with the Titans.
