The Dolphins have parted ways with guard Shelley Smith, according to the Miami Herald. His release will save the team $2.75 million in cap space.
Smith, 27, has played for the Texans, Rams and Dolphins over his five years in the league. He has started 11 games over his career, three last year with the Dolphins.
