Rams place Brady Quinn on IR, make move for defense

The Rams placed quarterback Brady Quinn on injured reserve Saturday, as a result of a lingering hip injury. Quinn's had been sidelined with this injury since Week 9.
The team used Quinn's roster spot to add defensive back Quinton Pointer to the active roster. Pointer had been on the team's practice squad prior.
