Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt said he gave running back Shonn Greene a season-high 16 carries in Sunday's loss to the Jets because he was "going with the hot hand," reports The Tennessean. It was a strange statement considering Greene averaged 3.1 yards per carry and had a long gainer of 8 yards.
Rookie Bishop Sankey, who had received double-digit touches in the previous eight games, got four touches against the Jets. He carried three times for 8 yards and caught an 18-yard pass.
The Titans visit Jacksonville on Thursday.
