The Chiefs have control over a roster of 82 right now; the league limit is 90. There are 73 under contract, with only deals to be completed involving franchise player designee WR Dwayne Bowe and the team’s eight selections from the 2012 NFL Draft. There are no restricted free agents or exclusive rights free agents, so with the exception of Bowe, there is no heavy lifting left in contract negotiations.
