Eagles linebacker Casey Matthews was forced out of Friday's preseason opener against the Patriots with a left knee injury, the team announced. Matthews left the game in the second quarter with the injury. He recorded four tackles in a 31-22 defeat. The Eagles host the Panthers on Aug. 15.
