Warriors' Moses Moody: Tallies team-high 19 points
Moody amassed 19 points (7-9 FG, 5-7 3Pt), one assist and one steal in 15 minutes during Sunday's 111-103 preseason victory over the Lakers.
Moody was given the starting nod as the Warriors began the preseason with a win, leading the team with 19 points. As expected, Steve Kerr went deep into his rotation, with 18 players taking to the court. Moody's exact role this season remains a little uncertain, especially following the re-signing of Jonathan Kuminga. While there is an outside chance Moody could stick in the starting lineup, he is more likely to come off the bench, logging minutes in the low to mid-20s.

Warriors' Moses Moody: Will play Sunday
Moody (thumb) will play during Sunday's preseason opener against the Lakers, Dan Woike of The Athletic reports.
Moody underwent surgery on his right thumb during the offseason, but he will be good to go for the start of the preseason. Moody could see higher usage in the second half of Sunday's contest, as veteran players will only play the first half.

Warriors' Moses Moody: Undergoes surgery on thumb
The Warriors announced Thursday that Moody had surgery on a torn UCL in his right thumb Wednesday, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.
Slater notes that Moody had a wrap on it at times late in the season. The good news for the Warriors is that the forward is expected to be back in time for the start of training camp. In 74 regular-season appearances in 2024-25, Moody averaged 9.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.7 three-pointers in 22.3 minutes.

Warriors' Moses Moody: Plays well off bench
Moody contributed 12 points (3-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-5 FT), one rebound, two assists and two steals in 12 minutes during Wednesday's 121-110 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Although he ended the season on a high note, Moody had a very quiet postseason, as he hit 35.0 percent from the field in 16.1 minutes per game. He did have his most successful regular season, however, as he made 74 appearances and produced 9.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.7 three-pointers in 22.3 minutes while shooting 37.4 percent from beyond the arc, a career-best mark. Moody will now enter the first year of a three-year, $37.5 million contract extension.

Warriors' Moses Moody: Solid outing off bench
Moody finished Friday's 115-107 loss to the Rockets in Game 6 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with 13 points (5-13 FG, 3-5 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and one block over 22 minutes.
Moody was Golden State's leading bench scorer in Friday's Game 6 loss and has now tallied double-digit points in back-to-back playoff outings. Moody has shot the ball well from behind the arc during the Warriors' first-round matchup against the Rockets, converting 38.7 percent of his 5.2 three-point attempts per contest.

Warriors' Moses Moody: Erupts for 25 points
Moody ended with 25 points (9-18 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), nine rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals over 26 minutes during Wednesday's 131-116 loss to Houston in Game 5 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Moody scored fewer than eight points in three of the first four games of the first-round series against Houston, but the 22-year-old wing popped for 25 points Wednesday and fell one rebound shy of his first double-double of the campaign. Moody's 25 points were his most in a game since April 9, 2023, and marked his third time hitting the 25-point milestone in the NBA. He's averaging 10.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists across 22.6 minutes per game this series.

Warriors' Moses Moody: Moving to bench role
Moody is not starting in Game 3 against the Rockets on Saturday, John Dickinson of 95.7 The Game San Francisco reports.
The Warriors are shifting their starting lineup for this game due to the absence of Jimmy Butler (pelvis), and Moody will wait for an opportunity off the bench as Golden State will go with a bigger lineup. Jonathan Kuminga, Draymond Green and Quinten Post will be in the frontcourt.

Warriors' Moses Moody: Drops 12 in Game 2 loss
Moody contributed 12 points (4-7 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 24 minutes during Wednesday's 109-94 loss to the Rockets in Game 2 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
After eight straight games of failing to crack double digits in the scoring column, Moody was able to see some shots fall Wednesday, helping make up for the offensive production lost due to Jimmy Butler's pelvic injury. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to secure the win and take a 2-0 commanding lead heading into Game 3 in San Francisco, as now the series has a chance to go the distance, especially if Butler is unable to play or is limited moving forward.

Warriors' Moses Moody: Muted performance in win
Moody amassed seven points (2-5 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and one assist over 28 minutes during Sunday's 95-85 win over the Rockets in Game 1 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Game 1 against the Rockets was all about Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler for the Warriors, with the dynamic duo combining for 56 points to get the win. Unfortunately, Moody didn't make much of an impact during his 28 minutes on the floor as a starter, finishing with only seven points on 2-for-5 shooting.

Warriors' Moses Moody: Late addition to injury report
Moody (back) is questionable for Tuesday's Play-In Game against the Grizzlies.
Moody wasn't listed on Golden State's initial injury report, but his status is now in jeopardy. Moody started the final 28 regular-season games, averaging 10.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.3 steals in 27.5 minutes per game.

Warriors' Moses Moody: Game-time decision Tuesday
Moody (back), who is listed as questionable for Tuesday's Play-In Game against the Grizzlies, will go through his pregame warmup before the Warriors make a final decision on his availability, Sam Gordon of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Moody's back tightened during Tuesday's shootaround, and he was a late addition to the injury report. If the 22-year-old is unable to suit up against Memphis, Gary Payton and Jonathan Kuminga are candidates for an uptick in playing time. Moody has averaged 8.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.2 assists across 25.1 minutes per game in his last 10 appearances.

Warriors' Moses Moody: Struggles with outside shot
Moody notched seven points (3-11 FG, 1-7 3Pt), eight rebounds, one assist and one steal across 31 minutes during Wednesday's 114-111 loss to San Antonio.
Moody failed to score double-digit points in his fourth straight outing, largely due to inefficient outside shooting. Since being inserted into the starting lineup on Feb. 13, Moody is averaging 11.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.2 steals in 27.6 minutes across 26 appearances.
