  • 76ers' Trendon Watford: Loses grip on rotation spot

Watford (coach's decision) went unused off the bench Monday in the 76ers' 119-109 loss to the Heat. With all of Tyrese Maxey, Paul George, Kelly Oubre and Joel Embiid returning to action for Philadelphia within the past three games following extended absences, Watford is one of several 76ers supporting players who has fallen out of the rotation. Before failing to receive any minutes in Philadelphia's last two contests, Watford had appeared in each of the previous 17 games and averaged 7.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 17.9 minutes.

  • 76ers' Trendon Watford: Contributes 15 points off bench

Watford contributed 15 points (6-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds and four assists over 22 minutes during Monday's 123-103 loss to the Thunder. Watford scored in double figures off the bench, though a lack of production for the 76ers other than that of VJ Edgecombe resulted in a lopsided defeat. Over Watford's past six games, all of which have come in a reserve role, the LSU product has reached the 10-point mark in four contests. The three-point shot remains absent from his game, as Watford entered Monday shooting 21.3 percent from beyond the arc and hasn't converted a triple since Feb. 3.

  • 76ers' Trendon Watford: Shines off bench in win

Watford closed with 20 points (7-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-6 FT), nine rebounds and four assists over 24 minutes during Saturday's 126-116 win over the Jazz. Watford made the most of his 24 minutes off the bench in this win, hitting the 20-point threshold with an efficient effort and also ending just one rebound shy of a double-double. Watford has reached the 20-point mark just twice this season, and his recent performances haven't exactly been eye-popping, so he's not expected to carry much fantasy upside going forward, especially once the 76ers start to get healthier. Right now they're playing without Tyrese Maxey (finger), Joel Embiid (oblique) and Paul George (suspension).

  • 76ers' Trendon Watford: Productive from second unit

Watford totaled 12 points (3-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 6-6 FT), three rebounds, six assists, three blocks and one steal in 22 minutes off the bench during Tuesday's 124-96 loss to Denver. The three blocks were a season high for Watford, as the 25-year-old forward took advantage of the Sixers' injury-depleted frontcourt rotation. Watford has scored in double digits in four of the last seven games (one start), averaging 8.6 points, 3.3 boards, 2.7 assists, 1.1 blocks and 0.7 steals in 20.1 minutes.

  • 76ers' Trendon Watford: Back to bench

Watford won't start Saturday's game against the Nets, Austin Krell of OnPattison.com reports. With Adem Bona (back) returning to action, Watford will slide to the bench after a spot start Thursday against Detroit. Despite moving to a reserve role, Watford should still see plenty of minutes given all the absences in the 76ers' frontcourt, including Kelly Oubre (elbow), Paul George (suspension), Joel Embiid (oblique), Jabari Walker (illness) and Andre Drummond (back).

  • 76ers' Trendon Watford: Coming off bench Saturday

Watford is not in the 76ers' starting lineup against the Hawks on Saturday. Watford made his sixth start of the season in Wednesday's 106-102 win over the Jazz, when he finished with seven points (3-6 FG, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and one block over 22 minutes. He'll revert to a bench role for Saturday's contest due to the return of Kelly Oubre (illness).

  • 76ers' Trendon Watford: Starting Wednesday

Watford will start Wednesday versus Utah, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports. Kelly Oubre (illness), VJ Edgecombe (back) and Joel Embiid (oblique) are all unavailable for Wednesday's game, so head coach Nick Nurse will trot out a starting lineup featuring Watford, Tyrese Maxey, Quentin Grimes, Dominick Barlow and Adem Bona. Across five starts this season, Watford has produced averages of 10.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists per contest.

  • 76ers' Trendon Watford: Drops out of rotation

Watford (coach's decision) went unused off the bench in Saturday's 126-111 loss to the Pelicans. Watford exited the rotation for the first time since Jan. 29, ending a stretch of eight consecutive appearances during which he averaged 7.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 20.5 minutes per contest and shot 48 percent from the field. Rather than turning to Watford to fill minutes on the second unit, head coach Nick Nurse gave more extended playing time to backup forwards Jabari Walker (16 minutes) and Justin Edwards (six minutes).

  • 76ers' Trendon Watford: Slides into starting five

Watford is starting Monday's game against Portland. Watford will presumably be asked to shoulder a sizable workload Monday with both Dominick Barlow (illness) and Joel Embiid (knee) sidelined. This marks Watford's first start since Nov. 14 against the Pistons.

  • 76ers' Trendon Watford: Surprises with 16 points

Watford finished with 16 points (7-13 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 27 minutes during Tuesday's 113-94 victory over the Warriors. Paul George's (suspension) extended absence will reveal some new wrinkles in the rotation, and it seems like Watford could make a more significant impact. The fifth-year pro has been hampered by injuries this season, but he appears to be past any limitations. It's too early to give Watford serious fantasy consideration, but his place in the rotation is worth monitoring.

  • 76ers' Trendon Watford: Available to play

Watford (thigh) is available to play Wednesday versus Washington. Head coach Nick Nurse hinted during his pregame media availability Wednesday that while Watford may be available, he might not see the floor in his first game back from a lengthy layoff. With Kelly Oubre (knee) also set to return Wednesday, Watford might not be a consistent part of the rotation moving forward.

  • 76ers' Trendon Watford: Limited if available

Watford (thigh) will have a heavy minutes restriction if he plays in Wednesday's game against Washington, Austin Krell of OnPattison.com reports. Watford is labeled as probable for Wednesday's game, but it's unclear what role he'll play if active. He's been unavailable since Nov. 25 due to a thigh strain.

  • 76ers' Trendon Watford: Probable for Wednesday

Watford (thigh) is probable for Wednesday's game against the Wizards. Watford, who has been sidelined since picking up his thigh strain Nov. 25, is now expected to return from a lengthy absence. The 76ers are pretty healthy these days, so it will be interesting to see what type of role Watford is able to carve out.

  • 76ers' Trendon Watford: Lands questionable tag

Watford is questionable for Wednesday's game against Washington due to a left adductor strain. Watford sustained the strain during the Nov. 25 loss to the Magic and hasn't appeared since, though it sounds like he's on the verge of returning to action. It's unclear what kind of role he may have upon his eventual return, as it's likely Watford will face a minutes restriction right off the bat. His potential return could be bad news for the playing time of Dominick Barlow in the frontcourt, though.

  • 76ers' Trendon Watford: Progressing, but lacks return date

The 76ers announced Monday that Watford (adductor) is "continuing to progress" and is "being reintegrated into team activities," Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports. Watford was able to take part in Monday's practice in some capacity, but the 76ers aren't yet willing to issue a target date for his potential return to the court. The 25-year-old forward hasn't played since Nov. 25 due to a left adductor strain and appears destined to miss the final two contests of the 76ers' five-game road trip, at a minimum.

  • 76ers' Trendon Watford: Remaining out vs. OKC

Watford (adductor) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Thunder. Watford is still nursing a strained left adductor and remains without a clear timetable for a return. He should be considered week-to-week until the 76ers provide an update on his progress.

  • 76ers' Trendon Watford: Remaining out vs. Nets

Watford (thigh) is out for Tuesday's game against the Nets. Watford, who hasn't played since Nov. 25 due to a strained left adductor, can be considered week-to-week until the 76ers update his timeline for a return. Dominick Barlow (illness) should continue to benefit from a fantasy perspective.

  • 76ers' Trendon Watford: Ruled out for Friday

Watford (thigh) won't play in Friday's game against the Knicks, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports. It was reported at the end of November that Watford would be re-evaluated in two weeks, but the team has yet to provide another update on the timetable for his return. At this point in time, the LSU product can be considered week-to-week until Philly has more news to share on the status of Watford's rehab.

  • 76ers' Trendon Watford: Out for at least two weeks

Watford (adductor) will be re-evaluated in two weeks, Noah Levick of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. Watford went down during Tuesday's blowout loss to the Magic, and he's since been diagnosed with a left adductor strain. The injury is likely to keep the forward sidelined until the middle of December. With Watford out of action, the 76ers are likely to turn to Dominick Barlow and Justin Edwards to help pick up the slack in the frontcourt.

  • 76ers' Trendon Watford: Won't return vs. Magic

Watford has ruled out for the rest of Tuesday's game against Orlando due to a left adductor strain, Derek Bodner of AllPHLY.com reports. He recorded eight points (2-2 FG, 4-4 FT), one rebound and one assist in 11 minutes before exiting. Watford has been shut down for the rest of the night, but he'll have a few days to recover before his team's next matchup Friday against Brooklyn. Jabari Walker and Johni Broome could pick up a few additional minutes in the second half Tuesday in Watford's absence.
