The Hawks acquired Wiggins from the Thunder on Sunday in exchange for 2030 and 2032 second-round draft picks, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
The No. 55 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, Wiggins has spent the first five seasons of his career in Oklahoma City. The 27-year-old showed signs of promise during his tenure in Oklahoma City, but the Thunder's bevy of talent often resulted in him seeing inconsistent playing time. During the 2025-26 campaign, Wiggins posted averages of 9.4 points, 3.1 assists, 1.7 assists, 1.5 three-pointers and 0.9 steals in 21.8 minutes per contest over 65 regular-season appearances. Wiggins should have a chance at capturing a more sizable role in Atlanta, especially if the Hawks choose not to exercise Jonathan Kuminga's $24.3 million team option for the upcoming season.
Wiggins did not play in the Thunder's 111-103 loss to the Spurs in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals.
Wiggins started in 21 of 65 regular-season games and averaged 9.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.5 threes and 0.9 steals over 21.8 minutes per contest. However, his role diminished in the postseason, and he failed to crack 10-plus minutes in eight of the Thunder's 11 playoff games, including four DNPs. Wiggins is under contract with the Thunder for the next three seasons, with a club option for 2028-29.
Wiggins had four points (2-11 FG, 0-4 3Pt), two rebounds and one block in 21 minutes during Sunday's 103-82 loss to San Antonio in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals.
Wiggins wasn't able to take advantage of some rare minutes with the Thunder getting blown out of this contest. Across 10 postseason appearances, Wiggins is averaging a mere 4.6 minutes per contest.
Wiggins is not in Oklahoma City's starting lineup against Phoenix for Game 1 of their Western Conference first-round series on Sunday, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports.
Wiggins started in each of the Thunder's final two games of the regular season as the team opted to rest its starters with the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference locked up. Wiggins will revert to a bench role for Game 1 and should see a fair amount of playing time in the postseason, even if the Thunder's playoff rotation shrinks.

The Thunder were down most of their routine starters, so Wiggins entered the starting lineup for the first time since the 121-92 win over Brooklyn on March 18. With Oklahoma City getting ready for what the team hopes will be another deep postseason push, Wiggins might see more action until the end of the regular season. However, the 27-year-old likely won't receive as many scoring opportunities or stable playing time during the playoffs, assuming everyone on the roster can stay healthy.
