  • 76ers' Quentin Grimes: Slated to start Sunday

Grimes is in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Heat. Grimes will make his first start of the season with VJ Edgecombe (calf) sidelined Sunday. Grimes has played a significant role off the bench all year and has been especially involved lately, averaging 16.2 points, 3.6 assists and 3.0 rebounds in 33.4 minutes across the 76ers' past five games.

  • 76ers' Quentin Grimes: Struggles with shot in win

Grimes notched 14 points (4-12 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds and four assists over 39 minutes during Thursday's 123-114 overtime victory over the Bucks. Tyrese Maxey carried the 76ers to victory Thursday, but Grimes delivered a decent line despite his shooting woes. The fifth-year guard should continue to play a solid role off the bench for the 76ers, as he's averaging 16.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game over his last five outings.

  • 76ers' Quentin Grimes: Catches fire in fourth frame

Grimes finished Wednesday's 121-112 loss to the Raptors with 21 points (7-15 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds, two assists and two steals over 31 minutes. Grimes was quiet through the first three quarters of Wednesday's game, though it's worth noting that he was on the floor for the start of the third quarter ahead of Justin Edwards. Grimes played the entire fourth quarter and for good reason, as he scored 15 of his 21 points in the final frame (including nine points from deep). The fifth-year pro has seen heavy minutes in a reserve role this season, and that shouldn't change even when Paul George (knee) and Kelly Oubre (knee) return from their respective injuries. Grimes has opened the 2025-26 regular season averaging 17.1 points, 4.1 assists, 3.7 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 2.6 threes over 31.3 minutes per game.

  • 76ers' Quentin Grimes: Pops for 19 points in win

Grimes ended with 19 points (6-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), two rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal over 36 minutes during Monday's 110-108 victory over the Clippers. Grimes logged at least 30 minutes for the third time in the past four games, continuing to play a meaningful role despite coming off the bench. He started the third quarter over Dominick Barlow, highlighting his importance to the team. Philadelphia continues to deal with injuries to key players, resulting in plenty of shots for Grimes. As a top-100 player, he should be rostered in all formats for the moment.

  • 76ers' Quentin Grimes: Remains consistent vs. Boston

Grimes racked up 18 points (6-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds, four assists and one block in 28 minutes during Tuesday's 102-100 victory over Boston. Grimes was once again a strong contributor on the offensive end, and he needed only 10 attempts from the field to reach 18 points. Justin Edwards and Grimes were a deadly combination off the bench Tuesday, as the duo combined for 40 points. Grimes has been solid across the board in the last week, averaging 17.8 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists in four appearances.

Grimes continues to be an integral piece off the bench for the 76ers, averaging 17.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.4 blocks and 2.5 threes. He has scored in double digits in every game this season, logging eight games with at least two threes made, highlighting his offensive consistency.

Grimes scored 14 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter and finished tied with the 76ers in the points column with Tyrese Maxey. Grimes has scored 20-plus points in four of eight regular-season games and has opened the 2025-26 campaign averaging 18.3 points, 4.8 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.1 steals over 31.6 minutes per game while connecting on 38.5 percent of his three-point attempts on 6.5 3PA/G.

Grimes logged 22 points (7-13 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 4-6 FT), seven rebounds, 13 assists, one steal and one block in 32 minutes during Sunday's 129-105 victory over the Nets. Grimes has been a major factor in the Philly rotation of late, reaching 30-plus minutes for a third straight game despite being deployed off the bench. He rewarded his club with his second 20-point showing in three appearances. Grimes also dished out a season-high 13 assists on the way to his first double-double of the year.

Grimes played a whopping 39 minutes, scoring at least 20 points for the second time in the past three games. He has now seen at least 30 minutes in three of his four games, despite continuing to come off the bench. While there is some uncertainty about his long-term role, he should be rostered in all formats for now.

  • 76ers' Quentin Grimes: Scores 24, hits clutch triple in W

Grimes finished with 24 points (7-14 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds and four assists across 30 minutes during Saturday's 125-121 victory over the Hornets. Grimes nailed a clutch three-pointer with less than a minute remaining to help the Sixers earn their second win in as many games to open the season. He finished second on the team in scoring despite coming off the bench, and the 25-year-old reached the 30-minute mark for the second straight contest. Grimes will look to stay hot when Philadelphia hosts Orlando on Monday night.

  • 76ers' Quentin Grimes: Totals 22 points off bench

Grimes posted 22 points (7-13 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, five assists and three steals over 26 minutes during Friday's 126-110 preseason win over the Timberwolves. Grimes was locked in on the offensive end of the court, easily pacing the Philly bench in scoring. Friday marked the Houston product's first and only action of the preseason after getting his contract settled, and it's abundantly clear that he's ready for Opening Night on Wednesday in Boston.

  • 76ers' Quentin Grimes: Intends to play in preseason finale

Grimes (personal) plans to play in Friday's preseason finale against the Timberwolves, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports. Friday's game will be Grimes' first and only exhibition action after signing a qualifying offer with Philadelphia during training camp. With Jared McCain (thumb) sidelined for the start of the regular season, Grimes is in position to start at shooting guard for the 76ers in the early going.

  • 76ers' Quentin Grimes: Won't play Friday

Grimes (personal) won't play in Friday's preseason game against the Magic, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports. After a lengthy negotiation, Grimes settled for a one-year, $8.7 million qualifying offer at the beginning of October. The team had already left for Abu Dhabi before he agreed to the deal, so he missed the team's first two preseason contests and will miss a third Friday. Grimes has only one more chance to suit up -- Friday, Oct. 17, against the Timberwolves -- before the regular season begins.

  • 76ers' Quentin Grimes: Signs qualifying offer

The 76ers signed Grimes (personal) to a one-year, $8.7 million qualifying offer Wednesday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Grimes and the 76ers brass have been going back and forth during contract negotiations, which didn't appear to be heading in the right direction. However, now he's back in the fold and has a no-trade clause. He'll become an unrestricted free agent next summer. His participation in the preseason remains uncertain, as it was reported that he wouldn't travel with the team overseas to Dubai before this deal was finalized. After being traded to Philadelphia by the Mavericks, Grimes played in 28 regular-season games, averaging 21.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game, shooting 46.9 percent from the field and 37.3 percent from beyond the arc.

  • 76ers' Quentin Grimes: Qualifying offer extended

The 76ers extended an $8.74 million qualifying offer to Grimes on Saturday, Tony Jones of The Athletic reports. As expected, Philadelphia has extended a qualifying offer to Grimes, who is now set to become a restricted free agent. The 25-year-old is likely to draw interest from multiple teams after a career-best 2024-25 campaign, during which he averaged 14.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.0 steals across 26.8 minutes per game in 75 regular-season appearances (37 starts) between Dallas and Philadelphia. He also recorded shooting splits of 46.7/38.5/75.7.

  • 76ers' Quentin Grimes: Strong finish to season overall

Grimes recorded eight points (3-14 FG, 0-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds and four assists across 35 minutes during Sunday's 122-102 loss to the Bulls. With the injury-plagued 76ers missing their top three scoring options in the final weeks of the regular season, Grimes stepped up in a big way to wrap up the year. Over his closing 12 contests, Grimes averaged 24.5 points, 5.5 assists, 5.4 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 3.5 three-pointers in 35.1 minutes. The 24-year-old swingman should garner plenty of interest from other teams this offseason, but Grimes is a restricted free agent, so the 76ers have the ability to match any offer he receives.

  • 76ers' Quentin Grimes: Will play Sunday

Grimes (shoulder) is available for Sunday's game against the Bulls, Austin Krell of OnPattison.com reports. Grimes will return to action for the regular-season finale after sitting out Friday's loss to Atlanta. Since the beginning of March, Grimes has averaged 26.2 points, 5.2 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 1.8 steals in 34.8 minutes per game.

  • 76ers' Quentin Grimes: Questionable for season finale

Grimes (shoulder) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Bulls. Grimes missed Friday's game against the Hawks due to a right shoulder sprain, and that same injury has him as a potential game-time call for the regular-season finale. The 76ers don't have anything to play for Sunday, but Grimes will aim to end the season on a high note, as he's been Philadelphia's best player since the All-Star break. He enters the final day of the regular season with averages of 23.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game across 23 appearances since the break.

  • 76ers' Quentin Grimes: Downgraded to out

Grimes (shoulder) won't play in Friday's game versus the Hawks, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Grimes has been downgraded from questionable to out due to a right shoulder sprain. In his absence, Lonnie Walker, Jared Butler and Jeff Dowtin should all receive increased playing time. Grimes' next chance to suit up is Philadelphia's regular-season finale against Chicago on Sunday.

  • 76ers' Quentin Grimes: Iffy for Friday

Grimes is questionable for Friday's game against the Hawks with a right shoulder sprain. This appears to be a new issue for Grimes, but the questionable tag suggests that he's day-to-day. However, the 76ers have been super cautious with their key players. If Grimes is unable to play, Lonnie Walker and Jared Butler could soak up a lot of usage for the 76ers.
