  • Spurs' Dylan Harper: Shines with 24 points from bench

Harper racked up 24 points (8-11 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 7-7 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and three steals over 27 minutes during Sunday's 114-109 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Harper helped fill the gap left by Victor Wembanyama's ejection with seven rebounds to go along with a solid shooting performance. Harper has emerged as one of San Antonio's best backups, propping up the backcourt when De'Aaron Fox or Stephon Castle needs a breather. The team employed a small-ball lineup that included Harper, Fox and Castle after Wembanyama's exit, which heightened Harper's involvement.

  • Spurs' Dylan Harper: Scores 11 points off bench

Harper supplied 11 points (5-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt), seven rebounds, five assists and two steals in 22 minutes during Wednesday's 133-95 win over the Timberwolves in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals. The Spurs handled business early to tie the series, and the team went deep into the bench as a result of the lopsided score. Through seven playoff games, Harper is averaging 13.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.1 steals in 25.6 minutes per contest.

  • Spurs' Dylan Harper: Big double-double off bench Friday

Harper ended Friday's 120-108 victory over Portland in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with 27 points (9-12 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in 30 minutes off the bench. The rookie guard came through with the best performance of his career in the win, topping the 24 points he managed twice during the regular season while producing his first ever double-double. Harper's increased usage came while Victor Wembanyama (concussion) was in street clothes, so his ability to deliver big numbers again in Game 4 on Sunday might depend on whether Wembanyama is cleared to return.

  • Spurs' Dylan Harper: Expected to be available for Game 1

Harper (thumb) is expected to play in Game 1 on Sunday against Portland, per Michael C. Wright of ESPN.com. Harper injured his left thumb in Sunday's regular-season finale against Denver, but it sounds like he'll have enough time to heal ahead of the start of the playoffs. The rookie first-rounder is heading into the postseason on a hot streak, having averaged 14.8 points, 4.0 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.4 three-pointers in 24.4 minutes per tilt over his final 12 games while shooting 50.0 percent from deep during this span.

  • Spurs' Dylan Harper: Won't return Sunday

Harper will not return to Sunday's game against the Nuggets due to a left thumb injury, Don Harris of News 4 San Antonio reports. Harper exited late in the third quarter and will not be able to return. He concludes the contest with nine points (4-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, one assist and a steal in 18 minutes.

  • Spurs' Dylan Harper: Starting sans Castle

Harper will start Wednesday's game against the Trail Blazers. With Stephon Castle (knee) sidelined, Harper will get the starting nod. The rookie guard has averaged 17.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.5 triples in 25.5 minutes per contest through two starts this season.

  • Spurs' Dylan Harper: Productive off bench in win

Harper posted 17 points (7-11 FG, 3-3 3Pt), three rebounds and four assists in 28 minutes off the bench during Monday's 115-102 victory over the 76ers. The second overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft has found a groove from downtown. Harper has drained multiple three-pointers in six of the last eight games, averaging 14.9 points, 4.3 assists, 3.3 boards, 1.9 threes and 1.1 combined steals and blocks in 23.8 minutes over that stretch while shooting 62.2 percent from the floor and a sizzling 57.7 percent from beyond the arc.

  • Spurs' Dylan Harper: Stays hot in rout

Harper supplied 19 points (8-12 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, five assists and one steal in 25 minutes during Thursday's 118-99 victory over the Clippers. That's now seven straight games in double figures for the rookie first-rounder, who continues to provide a scoring punch off the bench for the Spurs. During that span, Harper has averaged 16.3 points, 4.3 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.6 three-pointers in 24.1 minutes per game while shooting 62.3 percent from the field.

  • Spurs' Dylan Harper: Starting sans Fox

Harper will start in Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies, Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News reports. Harper will fill in for the absent De'Aaron Fox (back), marking the rookie guard's second career start. Harper played 28 minutes and logged 24 points, four rebounds and three assists in his first start of the campaign.

  • Spurs' Dylan Harper: Career-high 24 points

Harper posted 24 points (9-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds and three assists in 28 minutes during Saturday's 134-119 win over the Pacers. Harper matched his career high with 24 points, making the most of his temporary promotion. With Devin Vassell (hamstring) and Stephon Castle (hip) both sidelined, Harper was given the starting nod for the first time in his young career. While this was certainly an encouraging performance, managers shouldn't expect nights like this all too often. Assuming Castle and Vassell are back in the lineup sooner rather than later, Harper would go back to being nothing more than a streaming consideration.

  • Spurs' Dylan Harper: Added to starting lineup

Harper will start Saturday's game against the Pacers. Devin Vassell (hamstring) was scratched, opening up a spot for Harper in the first unit. It'll be the rookie's first career start. He's averaging 11.1 points, 3.8 assists and 3.4 rebounds across 22.2 minutes per game this season.

  • Spurs' Dylan Harper: Good to go Tuesday

Harper (calf) is available for Tuesday's game against the Kings. Harper will shed his questionable tag and return from a two-game absence due to a right calf contusion. With the rookie first-rounder back in action, Jordan McLaughlin will likely fall out of the rotation. Harper has averaged 12.3 points, 3.9 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 1.3 triples in 22.9 minutes per contest over seven March appearances.

  • Spurs' Dylan Harper: Listed as questionable

Harper (calf) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Kings, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports. Spurs head coach Mitch Johnson said Monday that he's optimistic Harper will be available for Tuesday's game, but it sounds like he could be a game-time call. With Devin Vassell (ankle) out, Harper could see a large role if he's able to suit up.

  • Spurs' Dylan Harper: Won't play Monday

Harper (calf) has been ruled out for Monday's game versus the Clippers. Harper is slated to miss his second straight game Monday, and for now, he should be considered questionable at best for Tuesday's game in Sacramento. Carter Bryant will have the chance for some extended minutes with Harper out.

  • Spurs' Dylan Harper: Not playing Saturday

Harper (calf) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Hornets, Jared Weiss of The Athletic reports. The rookie first-rounder will miss his first game since Feb. 4 while recovering from a right calf contusion, and his next chance to play is Monday against the Clippers. In Harper's absence, Jordan McLaughlin and Keldon Johnson are both candidates to see more minutes off the bench in Saturday's home tilt.

  • Spurs' Dylan Harper: Hot shooting continues

Harper ended with 19 points (8-12 FG, 3-4 3Pt), two rebounds and six assists across 26 minutes during Sunday's 145-120 win over the Rockets. The rookie first-rounder is settling in nicely as the Spurs' sixth man, but Harper's fantasy upside is capped while De'Aaron Fox and Stephon Castle are healthy. Over his last eight appearances, Harper has averaged 13.0 points, 4.4 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 24.1 minutes per game while shooting 60.0 percent from the floor.

  • Spurs' Dylan Harper: Logs 29 minutes in win

Harper accumulated 15 points (7-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 0-2 FT), five rebounds, seven assists and two steals over 29 minutes during Wednesday's 110-107 win over the Raptors. Harper scored in double digits for the sixth time in his past seven games, continuing to push his case for more playing time. While there is certainly a case to be made for Harper playing a more significant role, at this point it appears he is more of a schedule play than a must-roster player.

  • Spurs' Dylan Harper: Will play Thursday

Harper (ankle) is good to go for Thursday's game in Dallas, Jared Weiss of The Athletic reports. Harper skipped Wednesday's win over the Thunder, but he'll return for Thursday's game without restrictions. With Harper back in the mix, Jordan McLaughlin could drop from the rotation entirely.
... See More ... See Less
  • Spurs' Dylan Harper: Added to injury report

Harper is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Thunder due to right ankle soreness. Harper was a late addition to the injury report for the front end of this back-to-back set. Stephon Castle is also questionable with adductor tightness, so the Spurs may be shorthanded in the backcourt against the Thunder. If one or both of Harper and Castle are ruled out, Julian Champagnie and Keldon Johnson would be candidates for increased minutes, while Jordan McLaughlin could enter the rotation.

  • Spurs' Dylan Harper: Productive against Magic

Harper posted 15 points (6-12 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-4 FT), six rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal in 28 minutes off the bench during Sunday's 112-103 victory over Orlando. The 28 minutes of court time represented Harper's largest workload since Jan. 2, and the teenage rookie delivered strong overall numbers. The extra opportunity came while Stephon Castle (adductor) was sidelined, but Harper has been showing signs of growth even in his usual role. He's scored at least 15 points in three straight games and in four of the last seven, averaging 11.9 points, 3.7 boards, 3.6 assists and 1.0 blocks in 21.6 minutes over that latter stretch while shooting 59.0 percent from the floor.
