Lakers' Summer League head coach Ty Abbott said he's hopeful that Thiero will be available for their first game in Las Vegas against the Thunder on Friday, so for now, he can be considered questionable for that one. The good news is that it doesn't sound like Thiero is dealing with anything too serious.

Thiero recorded 13 points (3-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-7 FT), three rebounds, three steals and two assists in 28 minutes during Sunday's 93-91 double-overtime win over the Heat at the California Classic Summer League.
Thiero put together a solid all-around performance Sunday despite struggling from the floor. He stood out defensively, logging a game-high three steals. Through two Summer League games, Thiero is averaging 11.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.0 assists in 24.5 minutes per contest. One area in which he has struggled thus far is efficiency, as he has shot just 31.6 percent from the field on 19 attempts.
Thiero produced zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) over three minutes during Monday's 115-110 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Los Angeles' second-round rookie was used sparingly by the Lakers in 2025-26, logging a total of 25 regular-season appearances for an average of 6.0 minutes per contest. Depending on how many changes the team makes this offseason, Thiero could be in a better spot to compete for minutes in 2026-27.
Thiero was ejected from Sunday's Game 4 of the Western Conference first-round series against the Rockets, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.
Thiero got tied up with Aaron Holiday late in the fourth quarter, leading to both of them getting ejected. He concludes the contest with three points (1-1 FG, 1-1 FT). in six minutes.
